The NT4 Resource kit has an ntp client in it. Runs as a service. I believe it is called timeserv. We use it to sync our NT Servers to our Unix boxes.

The /etc/security/login.cfg file can change your username prompt. But, to change the password prompt itself, I think you need to modify/replace the login command.

This is not quite correct. You will need to install another product to accomplish it, but try using sharity. It is published by Objective Development out of Austria. The product is a client that allows you to mount a SMB (or CIFS, if you prefer) share as a filesystem. Works pretty well...
