Hi all ... I would like to know of any VPN hardware (< $2000) that will support the use of smartcards.
I read on review about:
Merilus Firecard Plus and about the eSoft InstaGate EX2 ... both of these are around $1500 but do not support Smart cards.

We have an exchange server that allows folks on the road to access their emails via POP3.
Everything works fine ... but I am curious:
1. Is the password send over the net in clear text format ?
2. What does it take to improve the security of such a connection ?

I have been partially successful in implementing a Linux Gatway between our two networks 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.2.0 (netmask:255.255.255.0).
I am able to ping computer 192.168.2.1 from a computer in the 192.168.1.0 network.

We have folks who use POP access to our exchange server for remote retrieval of email.
Is there any way I can make this connection encrypted ? Any advice will be appreciated.

I have an exchange server that is connected to the outside world via DSL.
I am using BlackICE to block most of the ports that exchange does not use.
Question: Is this secure enough ?
