Thank you ptheriault. Your last post was exactly what I needed. I just created the SP and ran the results against my training DB (i cleared all of the manually added logins first). Everything worked like a charm.
Much Thanks ptheriault!

Server 1: production SQL 2000
Server 2: testing SQL 2000
fairly regularly, I'm asked to back up the database on Server 1 and restore it unto Server 2. I just right click, all task, backup database on server 1. On server 2, right click, all tasks, restore database using the file from server 1...
I actually wound up finding something on "dsofile". started looking into that and discovered the DLL in the Microsoft example project.
I used that as a reference and was able to create a quick little console app that read the extended properties.
I hope and pray this is a one time only event...
I've folders full of word documents. Thousands of them. Each file is randomly named (ij$lk2.doc for example) so they don't mean anything to anyone. My thought is to read the extended properties and rename the files based on the properties found.
I've been searching for awhile now and I can't...
Regular users can login. However, once they are logged in and attempt to run any application they receive the following:

We have a database with 8535 tables (not my design, it's an application vendors configuration).
When we try to use their application to create a new table OR use Enterprise Manager, it just hangs. No Table is ever created.
In the logs i'm getting:

you will laugh :) I adopted this network with the current scheme, but i've already begun to migrate us to a 10 scheme.

I think this is what i need:
route (outside) 130.0.4.0 255.255.255.0 <ISP1 address> 1
route (outside2) 130.0.5.0...
Supergrrover,
thank you for responding. I was just re-reading the "route" command in the manual. i was misunderstanding the "ip address" and "netmask" areas. i was thinking this was the far end, not the near end addresses to route.
To answer your question, they are all in one subnet...
We have recently added a new interface to our pix. We will be running a new internet circuit out of the same pix. I am trying to figure a way to say "All server IP's need to go out the old interface and All Users need to go out the new interface"
currently in our route statements, we have a...

gmmastros,
if it's as simple as that, i'm going to shoot myself.
i thought i'd have to Declare variables, loop through a query testing variables and matching conditions.

SQLSister,
real world keeping you busy? Not trying to rush, more just seeing if you still working on it is all.

If it doesn't match the condition, it would be nice not to display anything. Just return the records that match the condition.
Thank you SQLSister!

Up to now most of my SQL querying has been your basic:
select field from table where field = 'something'
I'm now in the position where i actually need to start doing conditional and math type scripts.
I've looked at scripts in the forums and on the web past few hours and I think i'm too deep...
vongrunt,
You my friend are a genius :) Thank you. That makes perfect sense. With your example i was able to come up with:
DECLARE @PtrVar BINARY(16), @InsertPos INT, @DeleteLen INT
DECLARE @PK uniqueidentifier
DECLARE cur cursor for Select RowGUID from [sltds_c32_e-table] order by...
Sounds good in theory.
Any possible examples you can point me at?
I've looped it now, counter that goes up to 220 (only 218 records in this table), but it doesn't seem to do anything since record 1 has already been changed.
Is cursor anything like recordset.movenext in ado?

i assume you mean a "show running". I can't at the moment as i'm going to have to do this after hours now. With the 10 minutes of traffic issues, i had quite a few users readying the lynch mob for me. So i removed all new entries and returned the router to the state it was in prior to my...
Have you considered using BGP? It's been awhile since i configured ours and I had alot of help from those more knowledgable, but do a little research on it.

Thank you KiscoKid (and NetworkGhost). That is definitely what i needed to know. However, i'm having a problem with the access-list. When i set the access list and try to get it set for just one server, i wind up seeing all traffic go out Pix2, even packets meant for internal servers...
