Dear Ben
I reckon that if you find when you take a new job you have more knowledge than the manager and / or dba - then maybe you are aiming too low. Perhaps next time go for the manager job yourself.
Good luck!
I was getting rid of my old pc so I archived everything on the HD and put it on a CD. Then I copied Photoshop to the HD of my laptop. When I try to run it, the error 'missing personalisation information' comes up and it won't run. I'm assuming that this is something to do with the...
Just a quickie - if 2 users are using a shared worksheet, can they have different filters applied: for instance, I might be working on one town and they need to be working on another town at the same time and it would help if we could have our own filters on
Thanks

Using mailmerge in XP - having selected access db as data source, in the 'tables' dialogue box it is not picking up all my queries, particularly parameter queries. I've had no probs with this in 2000. This is really irritating me! Does anyone know a workaround?
Cheers

Hi - can anyone help with this?
I need to select company details from one table where a certain condition on the most recent record of another table is met. At the moment, it's bringing up all the records of table 2. I expect there's a simple statement to do this but I can't think of it. I...
There's plenty of free/cheap Survey software about that I find quite adequate for customer surveys or perhaps you could create a 'splash' screen (like you can in Access) with your Corporate ID.
I've done it now - however I've noticed the address field is similar...
Copley Bent, Butterknowle
Windmill
Dengate Lane, Staindrop
Lartington
Hamsterley
Cross Lanes
Holwick Road, Middleton-in-Teesdale
Brignall
Dentgate Lane, Langleydale
The ones with commas obviously need to be in separate...
Hi, yesterday I had a problem merging cells; today I have the problem where I need to import a name field where the data has the whole name in one field and my table has Title, Initial, FirstName LastName etc., so the cell needs to be split up.
JVFriederick - are you there?? Or can anyone...
I always have this problem when people forward data to me. This time I've been given data with the STD code & the phone number in separate columns. I need them in the same column for my (Access) database! I think you can do it in Excel but I've tried all the paste specials etc. and various other...
Yes, I'd like to know this too. I have all my contacts in an Access DB but all the other Office features such as customizing faxes etc. take their information from Outlook not Access. It would be great if there was some way for the two to share their information ... do any of you Access Gods...
Now I have put some more brackets in (at the beginning and at the end) and it is bringing up the error:
'A subquery of this kind cannot return more than one record. Revise the SELECT statement of the subquery to request only one record.'
Hmmm.... what do you think?
It is this:
(Select [Client Details2].[ContactsID] From [Client Details2] Left Join [Growth Cos ContactsID] on [Client Details2].[ContactsID] = [Growth Cos ContactsID].[ContactsID] WHERE [Growth Cos ContactsID].[ContactsID] Is Null)
Just pasted from yours with table names changed
On further examination, I have found that if I put brackets around it, it seems to work although I then get a 'no record' error. I think this may be something to do with the 'is null' clause as none of the contactsID fields are null. Is there any other clause I could replace it with that would...
