We installed EPO 4.5 using SQL2005 express to store the database. This proved inadequate due to the 4 gig limit of SQL2005 express. We have upgraded SQL to SQL2005 Std. However the EPO database still seems to have the 4 Gig limit imposed to it even though it is now in SQL2005 Std. the message we...
Thanks for your reply davidmichel
All Agents are bad except the local system which is getting 500-600 MB/minute.
Virus Scanning is disabled. No defrags are running.
When monitoring the backup throughput is about 2 MB/Minute consistantly for all the agents. Our network team have looked at the...
We are running arcserve R11.5 sp3 on windows2003 server connected to a HP LTO ultrium 3 drive. Also we have installed Arcserve backup agents on several other windows2003 servers.
The problems we are experiencing is extremely low throughput when trying to backup to remote machines using the...
The only problem is my event log is being filled with hundreds of messages. It would be nice to stop this never ending browser election so that the event log doesn't get cluttered with these messages. I have already missed one important event as it was a single message burried within the...

We have a folder that looses its permissions every night.
The allow inheritable persmissions box is being unchecked leaving the folder without any permissions. The folder in question is the TSM folder.
We have turned on logging and can see event560 for the folder in the event log, however the...
We have a strange problem. We use TSM client version 5.2.2 on our Win2k servers into the default installation directory c:\program files\tivoli\tsm. Following each scheduled backup the permissions to the tsm directory are losing their inheritance from the parent directory. Has anybody seen this...
Just a correction of my previous note....these servers are at BIOS V1.05 which was the latest at the time.
It seems now that V1.07 is out. I may try that to see if it makes a difference.
Update Xpress has been used on the servers and the latest BIOS V1.07 has been applied.
We were using a PC dos 7.10 boot diskette to partition and format the system drive to Fat32.
We have found that using server guide to format the system partition doesn't get the same problem. So my guess is...
I am getting a disk error the first time windows reboots during an unattended win2003 install on a X346.
I can build a X346 to Wind2000 with an unattended install,
but not Win2003.
The same Win2003 image works with an unattended install to a X345.
The X346 has been updated with updatexpress...
Hi, I have been getting a problem with X346's coming up with a Disk error when I run an unattended setup of Windows 2003.
I can run an unattended setup of Windows 2000 on a X346 with no problems.
But when I try to use an unattended setup of Windows2003 I get a disk error after the first...
I have re-installed Director 3.1 and applied the service pack. This has made no difference. Still getting appalling startup times(sometimes several hours). Removing Director solves the problem. I will try IBM support(again), but I am not hopeful of a quick solution.
The servers are connected to the SAN via a FastT controller, however we removed the FastT controller to eliminate this as the cause of the problem. The problem was so bad that we have taken Director off all of our servers.
You are correct its the startup of services that takes an eternity...
We are getting slow reboot times after installing the director client on Xseries servers especially X360's
These rebbot times occur about 25% of the time and can run into hours. Removing the director client restores reboot times back to normal. Has anybody else experienced this problem?
