Would that be me pushing the script to each user with psexec? I am looking at hundreds of users in an XP and windows 7 environment thats why I want them to run it when they are in otherwise I would be running a push everyday for weeks.
I have also tried this one
set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.run "runas /user:domain\user %comspec%" 'Open command prompt
WScript.Sleep 1000
WshShell.SendKeys "password" 'send password
WshShell.SendKeys "{ENTER}"
WScript.Sleep 1000

UNCpath1 = "\\server\printer1"
UNCpath2 = "\\server\printer2"
Set multiPrinter = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
multiPrinter.AddWindowsPrinterConnection UNCpath1...
You can try this. The free copy works well for sync and backup. Been very useful when moving data from 1 server to another as if it hits a problem it carries on and tells you where the problem was rather than fall over.

I have removed the hard drive and done a check disk while attached to my pc. I also did a full virus check. I then installed windows over the top of windows but still no success. Any other ideas before the full rebuild?
Smah it is Pro and no one other than me should have attempted any repair...
Thanks BMcAnly I hadn't thought of they domain/username. It didn't work though. There shouldn't be a group policy set as there are quite a lot of people in the same group and they have no issues. If it's set on the laptop I currently cant get into it to change it.
Any other ideas?
I have a laptop with Windows XP SP3 on in a 2003 server AD domain.
The laptop boots to the welcome screen and I clcik Ctrl, Alt & Delete which brings the logon screen. The username part is there as is the password section but the log on to section is missing. I have tried domain logons and...
VinceWhirlwind - The address I used were just examples. So your saying if the subnet mask did change it would increase the IP address' but the range would be 10.61.0.1-10.61.1.254. As Norway said would that create an overall problem on the WAN?
Norway with the increase in traffic I suppose...
I have had a look around various posts but I am a bit confused about the best way to set-up a superscope or whether a superscope is the way to go.
I have a WAN with offices on subnet ranges 172.16.65.*, 172.16.60.*, 10.61.1.* etc. All offices are connected via Cisco Pix Firewall's with paths...
Thank you all for your suggestions. I think I found the answer.
As all the Office instaltions were installed for some reason all the basic program templates were installed on this server. It looks like either a re-install or upgrade will remove the problem.
I have exchange 2003sp2 on Windows Server 2003. Users have Windows XPsp3 and Outlook 2003sp3.
I have a user who when he reaches his mailbox limit and tries to send he recieves a bounce back rather than the email sitting in his outbox. All other uses in this situation the email will not send...
Thanks for the message TOny sorry it has been so long to reply. I will try and explaint he situation again but more completely.
Company A bought out Company B. Company B uses Office 97. Word documents in 97 when opened in later versions open fine.
Word documents when opened in 97 work fine...
It isn't one document but thousands. It doesn't appear to be a problem when opened in a later version of word but that would mean buying over 100 upgrade licences which is the ultimate aim but in the current climate not possible.
Here's a strange one for you.
Word 97 files were originally created using a template. This template seems to have either an ip address, server name or both embedded somewhere.
This came to light when their system was migrated to join ours and the IP address changed. Lots of files then said...
Thanks for the replies. I tried the download but get the message there is no media in the drive.
I tried formating in Windows as FAT (the only option) but it fails. Any other ideas as I would rather not just throw it away.
