Designware,
I had a friend's computer I worked on over the summer that had this (plus a lot of other nasty stuff). I went through trying different things, but I "think" what finally got rid of it were 2 apps I downloaded-one called ATF cleaner, and SuperAntispyware. But due to other issues also...
orlotron, have you tried using Mozilla's Thunderbird as your e-mail app? I forward e-mail from my server to a gmail account (take advantage of their filters also), and then have Thunderbird get the e-mail from gmail, not my actual e-mail address. Thunderbird "remembers" your junk mail, so you...
Anyone else have bad experience with Defender? Like sggaunt, I clicked on the update and got defender. Wondering now if I should just remove it? I do periodically run Adaware/SpyBot/Ewido and a bunch of others at times....

After seeing this post, I installed Ewido last week. I routinely scan with Ad-Aware, Spybot, and Microsoft Anti Spyware (realtime prot, and tea timer enabled), and use Sygate's firewall. Last night, Ewido caught some warez p2p bundle of adware. I'm at work, and didn't write exact name...
This is probably a silly question, but you are talking about the paid version, correct? Isn't the only free version of ewido a limited-time trial? That's the only reason I hadn't installed it.
Just to let you know, I'm still playing around with my final coding, but the solutions from 3GM and fredericofonseca worked, and now I'm passing the value as negative when it should be.
Thanks all!
3GM,
Could you elaborate on what you're saying? Is this in conjunction with using the %BIN function, as suggested in previous post?
Sorry for all the questions. I haven't used that function before....
I am trying to pass a negative value to a Cobol program. I am not able to alter the existing Cobol program, only the CL I am writing. In the Cobol program, the field is defined as S9(6), so my question is, how do I need to define the value in the CL?
For example, how would I pass say -145? This...
Oh no! Someone just brought to my attention that if you go to the page today, you get a blue screen-nothing else!!
Any ideas on what I could have done? I uploaded a new map last night, and looked at it......so it was fine then. Is it possible that if one of the sources on a newsfeed was down...
Thanks, I'll check that out. BTW, do any of you use Fireworks? I bought it only because the first design group told our pastor I needed to...And Dreamweaver.
Actually, I use a free app called HTML-Kit. I don't know if it's good or bad, but I like it. I tend to not use WYSIWYG programs-like to...
Preferably free......I really can't afford to purchase something to use once or twice.
I already purchased Macromedia Fireworks, a book on using it, and an older version of Dreamweaver last year-none of which I use, so money wasted :(
Thanks!
