Double check that you have the command "no ip http server" cisco will allow web access to the device through a browser and is pretty easy to crack
just to clarify,
Have a Novell 4.11 server with 250 users on it. Recently
upgraded all machines to new Dell Optiplex with Windows XP Professional
(250 machines), installed the Novell Client 4.83 to logon to the Novell
Server. After the end user logs on to the Novell server, Windows XP
wants...
I have a network wit approx 200 workstations. Dedsktops are windows 2k pro and windows xp pro. when a user logs onto novel it authenticates fine, but then it also asks for a windows logon. this would require that all 200 users have a profile on every machine. is there a way around this. is...
OK here goes.. I have a 2651 and a catalyst4006. I'd like to connect the auxport from my router to the console port on my switch but have been unable to find any related configs. has anyone done this before? is it possible ? If so once it's set up how do i access the switch? any one have...
ok what am i doing wrong. i have followed these configs and i see garbage on the screen when i connect and hit enter. is there some sort of key sequence i need to follow
Ok how cool is this!!! first time for me with this command but i'm gonna use it every where after this.
you need to set up a time-range that coincides with your hours of operation. I assumed that your business opens at 08:00 and closes at 17:00. so i went into conf t and did this...
%OIRINT:
%OIRINT: OIR Event has occurred oir_ctrl 50 oir_stat 4F4C
If this error message appears in the router log, it may signal that there is a possible hardware issue with either a power supply connector, a mis-seated network module, a bad network module, or a bad chassis slot.
sounds like...
first off show show the output from the "show isdn status" i was under the impression that you had to configure the spid on the bri interface. i have a couple of ISDN interfaces in my neetwork but not a ton but they all have specified spids. The sh isdn status command will indicate...
cool glad i could help. not sure that the multilink min-links 2 command is neccessary at this point but shouldn't hurt. your call if you want to remove it.
Mark
well there you have it. bring up that second t-1 and your multilink will be 2xt1. sorry i should have checked that first. wow look at all those crc errors. good luck
Mark
ok try this
conf t
int m1
multilink min-links 2
i would leave the load threshold command out still. i just don't think it's needed. the above command will force the multilink to make both active. silly question you have verified that s1/2 is up up right?
I have a Multilink in service on my network and i don't use the "multilink load-threshold 3 either" command. i took a look at cisco's site and it seems like that tells it to add the multilink after a specific load is reached. by nature of that it won't allow both to be up at all...
I believe in order for this to work as a true multilink your ISP needs to configure it on their access router as well. you must also be sure that both t's are set for encap ppp, ppp-multilink and multilink-group x. where x is the group number. In this case most likely 1. I would lean...
It would seem to me that adding the switch would only add latency. If you had a router capable of many serial interfaces Such as a 7200 series you could connect 4 T-1's to the router and the 4 FR circuits to the same router. what this will do is cut down on the amount of transition points...
I'm not sure if this will help but i remember that you can telnet to your mailserver on port 25 (smtp) and it will connect. You can issue a HELO command and it will let you specify user to send to your reply address. That's about all i can remember it does have to do with smtp though. at least...
Good point. As routergod so correctly states (thanks Don) the 1605 has 2 e ports. you would connect the cable/dsl modem to one and your lan to the other. need more help with the configs let me know.
Good Luck,
Mark
who is your provider generally if they are anyone but momandpop telco they will provide at least stratum2 clocking which will sufice in most cases. so there is not to many instances when you'll need to set that.
