I have posted a question on this forum previously regarding this issue.
When you use the Microsoft "Configure your Server Wizard" and configure a server as a RAS server, it only opens up those ports (in TCP/IP Advanced Properties) specifically to allow incoming RRAS...
No.. cannot ping anything. tracert to external DNS fails as well. This machine was perfectly fine until the OS has been re-installed. The NIC drivers are up-to-date and can ping all other machines on the network. Just can't surf the Internet.
If I delete the default Gateway on the NIC connected...
I have a Windows 2003 Standard RRAS server setup with two NICs. One is connected to the public interface (T1) and the other to our local LAN. I only have one default gateway setup (on the WAN interface). I can ping all servers internally and VPN clients can connect and authenticate successfully...
I have a Windows AD Domain which has an IP scheme of 192.168.20.x. We changed it to 192.168.2.x and the DNS servers have been configured to reflect this change. Now, all DHCP clients get addresses in the new scheme. IPs have been updated on all the servers as well.
Sporadically, when I ping...
I have a dual homed Windows 2003 server which is our RRAS server.(VPN Connections) One NIC is connected to the WAN interface and one to our LAN.

I just upgraded (fresh install) an existing Windows 2000 DC in the child domain to Windows 2003 Server and made it an additional DC in the child domain. After install, I can't seem to connect to my parent domain from the AD Users and Computers MMC. (By Right Clicking the domain name and...
I currently have two AD Domains (parent - child) that are linked by a MPLS circuit. Administrative overhead is not a concern and neither is security. For maximum performance, is a single Domain with two OUs better than having two AD domains ?
Both Domains have their own exchange servers that...
Hello all,
Currently I have a single forest with two AD domains in two geographic locations over a high speed WAN link with an Exchange 2003 Server in each domain. They have parent - child relationship. (Main office - Parent and Branch office - child)
However, I want to change this to maintain...
I have Exchange 2003 Server Standard. I have a specific email address that's causing NDRs with Event ID 3008 in the Event Log. If the email communication is initiated at the other end, I can receive all emails and reply to emails.
But I get NDRs when I compose a fresh email to this address...
Each case maybe different. In my case, the OWA issue only effected one user. And I have already posted the resolution. You can do some research on the KB articles and I am sure you can find a solution.
This problem occurs after applying the new Microsoft DST patch. Had to contact MS to get the correct patch. It had nothing to do with Store mounting problems.
Hey guys,
Thanks for your help. Just wanted to let you know that I fixed this problem by applying a Microsoft patch as outlined in the KB article below. Hope this helps everyone who has / had a similar problem...
Yeah Windows Sp2 is already installed. Again, this is only for one user. All the other users seem to be able to login just fine. What could go wrong with this one user all of a sudden ?
Both those KB articles pertain to Exchange Deployment as a Front-end server and Exchange in a clustered mode.
We have none of those. I have gone through both those KB articles before posting on this board. The patch provided in the second KB article is already included in SP1, which is already...
Hi guys,
I have a user who gets a HTTP Error 500, when accessing OWA. We have tried swapping browsers, using different PCs.. still same result.
He can login fine and see all the folders. But when he clicks on an email, the message body displays a HTTP 500 error. Same thing even if he opens it...
How can I move a user account to another domain (child domain) besies using the Movetree utility ?
I remember using a GUI tool to accomplish this.. but I just can't seem to remember the utility. Anyone have any idea ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated !
I have the same exact situation. I can connect remotely and I can ping the VPN server itself.. but cannot ping any other server by name or IP.
I can ping all servers from the RAS server itself. But not remotely. Any suggestions ?
