Hi Troops.
Info please.
We have a customer who has two types of NCOS.
One where PSTN access is available 24/7 and a second type which reduce the NCOS to internal calls only out of hours.
What would this feature be called?
It seems that DNs can have the same NCOS, but be behave differently. Is...
We need to find out when a particular PRI loop started working (previously no traffic on it)
The current history file shows loop in use, & the system event log doesn't go back far enough (Full of FIR alarms caused by customers intra-site fibre being over the stated max)
Can anyone advise if it...
We have to provide traffic stats for one site.
We are getting the info generated OK, but is there a Excell macro which can create a doc/ populate the fields automatically.
Tks

A customer insists on have a hotline on his key 0 and is now complaining that when he tries to make calls from his 'call list' the set keeps picking up key 0 to make the call. Is there a way to change auto line selection?
I have suggested we move the Hotline to another key, but this may be too...
Hi Troops,
Can you EFD direct to a PSTN nbr? If so is CFTA all that needs to be amended in CLS?
Or do you have to create a phantom with DCFW?
Thanks in advance
Jimbo
Troops,
I have captured D Chan traffic to ascertain if a NAS setup is failing due to congestion (or its just poor op ans times). But I can't find a decode for the messages. I've been thru the 34 pages for LD 96 and can't find anything obvious. I don't suppose there is a DCH decode Excel...
Hi all,
What is the max nbr of CDNs that can be used on a Symposium Express? We currently have 31 CDNs in use.
We have set up two additional CDNs and they both route to emergency announcement. But other CDNs with the same routing are routing correctly.
Thanks
Jimbo

Quick question - Does the KBA/DBA key numbering start from top left key, then go down, or from bottom left and goes up?
This is annoying me no end!!
Tks

John,
Thats just it - the customer has not requested an ISDN/BRI line, but an analogue line. Hence my confusion.
Thanks for your help
I'll get the customer to clarify their requirement!!

John,
Isn't a PHYSICAL connection required for ADSL?
How would this be done on an unknown channel on a 2Mb pipe?
Apologies if this is annoying. I just haven't grasped this yet.

Jimbo
All - thanks for the info.
John - Thanks for the tip about HOT line.
As this is to be used with an ADSL modem how/would the carrier still be able to 'breakout' the channel used by the ADSL modem DN?
My knowledge of ADSL is only on home phone lines.

Jimbo
All,
What would be required to set up a DN so that an access code was not required when making PSTN outgoing calls.
i.e. instead of dialling (9)0044 234 567 etc
they would dial 0044 234 etc.
This is required for use with an ADSL modem which does not support prefix numbers (which seems wierd to...
Hi All,
Is it possible to do a CHG of the DES from M2616 to M3820 without causing mayhem? Key programming is mimimal:
key 0, key 2, key 3, key 4, key 6 & key 8 only (to be retained)
Or is it best to OUT/NEW each TN?
Pls advise
Many Tks
Jimbo
Sorry for lack of detailed info.... This is for Multi tenant service(TENS).
They want 1 phone/DN to only be diallable from specified DNs. All other DNs would be barred access.
Thanks
Jimbo
Hi all,
We have a customer who wants a 'door set'.
Apparently this feature is available in package 86.
How do I find what packages are loaded on their Meridian?
Thanks
Jimbo
Hi All,
Query 1 - How do I see which agents are logged in to an ACD group?
Query 2 - Customer wants calls to an ACD nbr to route during the day to a non-ACD DN. Then after hours (????)
follow the night call forward route.
Is this something Symposium would handle?
If this is more Time of Day...
Hi Troops,
We have a customer who wants an immediate call forward activated on a fax line. I am not at site. I have put efd/eht, but this is not acceptable to the customer.
How do I activate an immediate callforward on a POTS line?
Pls advise any CLS & FTR changes required.
Also for digital...
Hi all,
We have a PBX where it is possible we have congestion on PSTN lines causing call failure.
Does anyone have an idiot-proof (aka Jimbo-proof) guide as to how to set up traffic stats, print them and 'decode' them.
I have tried using the NTPs, but without success.
Or is this something that...
