Hi,
I'm looking for a decent groupware system.
I see open-exhange as a good system. But how do I integrate it with my existing qmail (qmailrocks) server?
Can this be done - has anybody tried to integrate it and succeeded?

I have changed the qmhandle script to use qmailctrl instead:

Hi,
I have been using qmhandle!
I think I realise what this error message is now. It seems that qmhandle is trying to restart the qmail processes:
./qmHandle -d1160255
Calling system script to terminate qmail...
Can't exec...
I've been using the qmhandle tool to delete any problem messages. But I thought this was meant to properly handle emails in the qmail queue.
I am not aware of any disk problems on my server. But I will try to onvesitgate further.
I have been seeing alot of emails stuck in the queue. I...
All,
I am trying to troubleshoot why certain emails are getting stuck in the queue - local and remote emails.
I am looking at the qmail-send/current logs and I see such entries:
warning: trouble opening local/162/1160240; will try again later
However, when I look in the above directory...
There are several reasons for my concern.
1. Disk space is limited on my CentOS server - I'll probably eventually have to use NSF to store the emails on a different server.
2. Disk space may be cheap but backup is not! The amount of emails you can backup is not determine by how much disk space...
thedaver,
I don't like the idea using quotas per domain. This means one greedy user can affect the whole domain - or is this not how per domain quotas work?

thedaver,
Yes - it would seem there is no way to implement this 'feature'
It would be nice to see an inbound and outbound quota feature as this is sometimes what is a real requirement in a business email system.
My users also seem to have problems loggin in when their quota is reached - thus...
All,
On my previous email system (Lotus Domino) users were still able to recive emails when their quota was reached - they just weren't allowed to send an email.
Can this 'feature' be configured on vpopmail?

All,
I found that if I modify the vpopmail/ldap qmailuser schema to include 'mail' from the inetorgperson schema then I can add (manually) this property to the created account.
But that still leaves the problem of automatically using ldap for aliases/forwards - currently vpopmail does not...
All,
I am currently running qmail with courier-imap/vpopmail/mysql-backend - qmailrocks.org based.
I have a question regarding virtual domains and ldap support for qmail.
I am I right in the following assumption:
qmail natively supports virtual domains. However, vpopmail is an add-on to...
Hi,
If it is just the bin directory that has been deleted then why dont your just recompile qmail from source again and then copy the compiled binary to the qmail bin location?

All,
Does anybody know of a tool/method to get emails from a Lotus Notes email database on to a separate IMAP server?
Or how do I setup Domino to allow IMAP connections to these email databases. (I know of a IMAP to IMAP script that can copy IMAP emails)

hi,
going back to your first post you said:
I have a Fedora Core 2 machine with qmail 1.05 installed on it.
Now, I understand that latest stable version of qmail is 1.03.
If that was just a typo then don't worry. If not, then I suggest your try to install qmail 1.03 instead!
Also, you first...
thedaver,
Now this is strange, I decided to take the plunge and migrate my users to my qmail server - despite having the log problems.
However, it seems now that there are log entries appearing in the vlog table.
It seems that vpopmail seems to be only logging for certain users?!
I cannot...
djkoelkast,
Sorry - apart from my above suggestions, I do not know what else could be the problem.
Can you confirm whether you are able to send/receive emails locally on the server - i.e for local domains?
Regards,
Mon
thedaver,
Sorry - did not answer your question fully - yes, I have logged in via the mysql command line using the vpopmail account directly, and it was OK.

Mon
