"We could not complete your iTunes Store request" 9812

Don't even have an iPhone here.. and I'm 100% sure the hosts file hasn't changed - but thanks!! % cat /etc/hosts ## # Host Database # # localhost is used to configure the loopback interface # when the system is booting. Do not change this entry. ## 127.0.0.1 localhost 255.255.255.255...

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request" 9812

Plenty of options there, but I tried them all and continue to have the problem. As far as MacOSX 10.5.8 firewall settings - under "Sharing" I only have "Web Sharing" checked. Thanks!!

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request" 9812

Unfortunately the info at that link didn't help. I power-cycled my network and the problem remains. The other information at the link was about root certificates, but for Windows. Perhaps similar information regarding MacOSX would be helpful..? Thanks!!

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request" 9812

Very little chance any of that has changed - there are a few other machines using iTunes through our home network with no issues. Thanks!

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request" 9812

...have a MacBook Pro with MacOSX 10.5.8 and have all the updates applied (iTunes 10.0) - this has been going on for weeks, since I was running 9.x I *think* this may have started when I (stupidly) downloaded a lot of certificates and think their elimination may be part of the solution. Any...

help installing IRIX off SuSE server

I’ve been trying to install a blank Indigo off a SuSE Linux server that contains the IRIX distribution. I’ve been able so far to boot off the server and partition the hard drive. However, after that point I try to choose “Install System Software” after which I enter the name or IP of the Linux...

auto-syncing Windows time with time server

I'm trying to use the Windows NTP client w32time to sync a WinXP machine's time with some time servers of ours. I followed the instructions at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314054 But if you set the time off by 5-15 minutes, it won’t sync up with the time server. You have to do a: DOS>...

    different lp for one printer?

We have an lp that adds postscript banners that are required by our organization. When we plot PCL files, the banners cause corruption. We were wondering if we could revert back to the "real" lp when we do these plots, controlled by a particular queue. The real problem is the corruption, but...

    different lp for one printer?

Is there a way in HP-UX 11.11 to make one particular print queue use a different /bin/lp than the rest of the queues? We have an alternate 'lp' executable that we would prefer to use for one printer. Thanks in advance!

Solaris on Dell PowerVault NF500 Options

...I've tried don't do anything but reboot the machine again. I used an earlier version of Solaris 10 x86/x64 (1/06), boot off it, it goes to a grub *menu* where I choose Solaris, tell it to load drivers, where I have some "megasas" drivers on a CD. It complains that my disk is too large for...

    replication, snapshot, cluster questions

Also, does anyone have experiences with a NAS-like implementation using the hardware and OS they already had, without buying a separate product?

    replication, snapshot, cluster questions

I had a series of questions regarding NAS implementations. Any information you have or could point me to would be helpful. Thanks! How does data replicate in various situations (clustering, disaster recovery, mirroring)? What network protocol, how often (and is this configurable), and is it...

Suns disappearing from XDMCP broadcast list

I have a small network of WinXP, Solaris 10, and Linux machines. The WinXP machines run Hummingbird Exceed and we expect that the Solaris and Linux boxes appear in the Display Chooser window when running XDMCP broadcast. The Linux boxes appear in the list. The Suns will disappear from the...

    NAS experiences with Windows/Solaris environment

Hi, We have a mixed environment of Sun/Solaris and Windows clients, and were looking for a NAS solution that would easily share files with both these clients – with support for NTFS filesystems, active directory, group policies, and then the NFS side. We’ve been doing this so far with Samba...

ARD 3.2 sees black screen when controlling Leopard Server

I have used ARD 3.2 on my MacBook Pro running Leopard in the past to observe and control an Xserve on the same subnet running Leopard Server. Leopard's Apache ignoring httpd.conf

After an install of Leopard, I want to run the Apache web server with a different DocumentRoot, so I put the file I used on my Tiger machine into place as /etc/httpd/httpd.conf - but it seems to be ignoring that file, after a restart. Where is it looking for the httpd.conf and/or configuration...
