    What determines MIA?

Thanks for link SF0751. My answer was based on old docmentation, e.g. "If two or more agents with equal skill levels are available, DEFINITY ECS routes the call to the most-idle agent based on when the agent finished the most recent call,..." a.k.a. idle time. KG

    What determines MIA?

MIA is based on the total idle time since logged in while in an auto-in state. It that total idle time that determines MIA.

S8700 Remote Dial Up Login Question

jaymzter, Thanks for the info. I have been racking my head on this now for months and thanks to you I finally got in. Avaya has tried to help but it has been as if they want to give me just enough info to get me in a jam, and then want to bill me to get me out. Again, thanks. KG

S8700 Remote Dial Up Login Question

Why can't I use GEDI in a S8700 Remote Dial Up scenario once I establish the dial up network connection? It would seem that the only connection I can establish with ASA is a shell connection. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. KG

S8700 Back-Up via FTP (how is this done)

I have been trying for some time now to FTP system translations backup via the S8700 VisAbility™Management Suite and have not been able to do so, (perhaps I am doing something wrong). Would someone please give me some directions on how to do this? I can ping from the server to the machine I'm...

2 questions - Clan board and S8700 Call Accounting

My two cents... Heather, when you do go to S8700 do not allow them to sell you on the idea of the Perle IO LAN (terminal server - IP to serial). It doesn't work! The issue went back and forth between Tier III and IV and the IO LAN kept "falling asleep". I ended up removing the IO LAN and...

    Opinions Needed

My first but-set was a modified cheap phone from K-Mart. I rewired the T & R with gator clips from Radio Shack. When selecting a analog phone to convert to a test set, you want to ensure that all of the functionality is in the handset. The link below is to a $10.00 GE 29257GE1 White Trimline...

    AT&T Pt to Pt T-1 (DS-0 CH 24 as a 64K data Ckt)

That is exactly what I plan to do. My initial question was directed more toward the use of a point to point DS-0. (AT&T is carrier).

    AT&T Pt to Pt T-1 (DS-0 CH 24 as a 64K data Ckt)

It does, but it's Frame Relay. In short, not all packets reach the CMS server. Thus, the BCMS via the PBX says one thing, and the CMS reports another.

    AT&T Pt to Pt T-1 (DS-0 CH 24 as a 64K data Ckt)

Question, if the current connection is TCP/IP from the PBX CLAN through the corperate LAN, across the corporate WAN to the LAN segment at the distant end where the CMS Server resides; why would a data module be needed?

    Direct Agent Queueing

johnnyboy2k3, I implemented this feature for my employer. Key items to program: The login ID - I assigned the direct agent skill the same as the agents 1st skill number, (this way inbound calls to the agents "Login ID" will count as an ACD Skill call for that skill group). Then be sure...

    AT&T Pt to Pt T-1 (DS-0 CH 24 as a 64K data Ckt)

Does anyone see an issue with running the PBX CMS data across a point to point T-1 on the 24 ch (64K). Of course the T-1 would be dropped and inserted via an Adtran TSU120 w/ Router option module to isolate the 24 ch off of the T-1. Thanks in advance. KG

VDN call to Direct Agent in AUX mode

To my knowledge, there is no way of making the queued call more visible/audible to a direct agent that is in AUX. Let us not for get the purpose of AUX You could always assign a q-calls button to the agents phone. At least the agent would know that there's a call waiting in queue. Hope...
