So, these PC's off the end of the production line, how long were they on a soak teast for? (Just trying to establish if it was the method that was at fault, rather than the test software).

Hmmm, does this mean that your RAM failed? Or does it mean that the software failed? How do you know?

Thanks for the response kestrel1. I decided that if it had something to with the way it was being burnt it had to be down to either the disks I was using or the software I was burning with.
I tried different branded disks, no luck. I installed Nero and it worked first time. I've no idea why...
2 options spring to mind.
go to start, select run, type SFC
then let windows determine what has changed...
Or put your windows 98 disk in your cd rom, browse to the setup and run windows 98 set up (it is essential you do this inside windows and NOT in dos). Windows will then reinstall its...

I have put the burner as master on its own channel and it is still not working.
I have also upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it is still not working.
Anyone else with any thoughts?
