Thank you for your reply! Appreciated!
The 'office' in question is actually the MD's home! So only 2 or 3 PCs and a couple of IP hardphones will be connecting through it.
I'll take a look at the Sonicwalls
Thanks again!
Hi all,
Does anyone know any none-Cisco routers which are compatible with a Cisco 1841 for a router-to-router IPsec VPN tunnel?
I've had a look at the Cisco 887's but they are a over the budget I have for the project!
Many thanks in advance
Jim
OK, I have determined db2admin is a valid user however still not sure what the other 4 are
I have disabled the accounts to see what complains but if anyone can say what they are would be great

Hi unclerice, thank you for your response
The reason in this instance for changing the DG is for testing purposes. There is an ADSL connection on both of the routers, to test incoming web etc on the .253 router, then I can get out on the ADSL connected to the .254 router and back in again, as...
Hi all,
I have two routers on a network. Each router is configured for router-on-a-stick inter VLAN-routing.
VLAN 1 192.168.42.0/24
VLAN 2 192.168.43.0/24
HSRP is active between the two routers which are addressed in each VLAN as follows
R1

fa0/0.1 IP...
Thanks for the reply burtsbees, unfortunately, my router does not seem to have the clock rate command under the ATM interface?!
Had a look through a few other forums where people have had the same problem and this does appear to have cleared it for them!
Hi Unclerico, yes I am.
The ISP say they are seeing the connection between 15/17Mb downstream and the router sh dsl int command is showing the same however, when I run a speed test it is showing at best 6Mb and at worst 3Mb download.
I am thinking I am missing something on the router...
Hi viconsul,
Yeah I have spotted that, it`s just that when I run a speed test it comes back as 8Mbps. Odd.
Our provider has emailed me today however, and said they have moved us to a "Gold" service and now showing at 15Mb!
ISP`s eh? Anyway will run speed tests and post if still the same...
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can help. I have recently been asked to upgrade our companies ADSL service from ADSL Max to ADSL 2+. To do this I have bought and installed an ADSL HWIC and upgraded the 1841 to (C1841-ADVSECURITYK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T which I was told was required for the service...
Hello all,
I am looking at implementing PublicIP`s ZoneCD as a wireless controller for a hotspot I am installing.
The two Access Points I am looking at are Cisco Aironet LWAPP 1131 Access Points.
I cannot seem to find any kind of compatibility chart with details of what ZoneCD supports and...
With refernence to the last problem highlighted - no multicast BLF on local network, I have found the following statement in a Cisco Press BCMSN book....
"When a router configured for PIM-DM receives a multicast packet, the router performs the RPF check to validate the correct interface for the...
Thank you Andy, I have tried the revised ACL and can now page between the BFD and RIV sites... however....
I still cannot page between BFD and FOR sites, this could be because of what Vince has pointed out, thank you for that. I have ran some tests here captured with Wireshark between two phone...

Another one to watch on bad speech is duplex settings. Had a large call centre with horrendous speech issues a few years ago. Turns out they had forced the switchport the IP PBX connected to full duplex and 100Mbps operation. The IP PBX does not support forced operation and auto-negotiated...
Hi sjasbury,
Just done this today actually...
Data VLAN= 10
Voice VLAN= 20
(config-if)#switchport access vlan 10
(config-if)#switchport voice vlan 20
(config-if)#switchport mode trunk
works fine for me... the IP phone is doing VLAN tagging on the switchports on the back of it...
