I have some CallPilot 5.0 on 1002rp with Microsoft SP2and completely up to date with peps and Nortel provided MS hotfixes. I have had 3 systems lock up some several times over 2 to 3 weeks. One was a lab system with no traffic. No Event viewer errors to indicate why. Power down reboot fixes.

**Our Problem**
We have 4 Symposium Servers that were built with release 4.2 and our IT insisted on having the database drives configured as dynamic disks. Nortel at the time did not support dynamic. However in release 5 Nortel had tested the new Win2000 dynamic disks and have approved them for...
Better yet, to launch icertdtrace, create a shortcut of it to your desk top. Right click the shortcut, click properties and in the target box after the icertdtrace.exe" enter the switches (-? ipsend)
icertdtrace.exe" -s ipsend
It will launch just nicely with no paths to put in or any...
Check that your outgoing CLID is set up correctly in Ld 15.
800 doesn't work well without proper CLID. Remember you have both DID and NON DID settings and if one of these is invalid then that may cause your intermittancy.
I think there is some confusion here..... I see that both the dch 15 and BDCH 16 neither reside on loop 46 according to the provided printout. You are good to go to disable loop 46. As John mentioned, DISI (which is a frendly disable)loop 46, once disable4d as noted by PRI code...then do what...
Try removing the LSL & HSL programming in the PBX and then disabling the SDI ports remaining on the card, then pulling the card out and then installing everything again.
If the MAX does not boot up to where you can log in then........
I would try a convince your business partners that Meridian...
Well Guess what? I set my IPSend on the Web Client to 7 seconds from 5 and set up the Symposium for 2 from 5 and TTL from 64 to 6. I dissabled some reports like nodal and routes, but did not restart the SDP yet. Started the send trace on WC and every 7 seconds I got multicast. I can now get...
Thankyou rfwhite and mte0910.
I will try these settings tomorrow evening. My TTL is set at 64. I will double check both servers. I wasn't aware of restarting the SDP service after these changes. I'll let you know my findings.
I have gone over the manuals and seems all settings are fine. We have a correct multicast send and receive address.
I see Multicast coming in to the web server at a normal continuous rate but nothing on the send except every once in a while I will get a burst. 10 minutes or so.(no pattern)...
I agree with John Poole. Check the AST aquired attributes.
You may need to have the Genesys server folks de-aquire the acd sets, then check the TNB to see if the TN is still aquired. If so, check the Symposium as John suggested. If these Tn's are not aquired by symposium and you still see all...
If you changed the Ngensys password during the upgrade you will have to go to the ngen backup service properties in services and open the password tab enad enter the password there. Not sure you would have gotten as far as backing up the Plat Rec Disk if this was the case.
There seems to be a lot of issues and problems and issues surrounding the New CP 4 App Bldr and Manager. I though I would paste the packages and how to installs. Note Comments about CP Manager install requirements for previous version Call Pilots....Happy Reading....
PEPs included, improved...
Sullyin.. Even thought you may have the CallPilot 4.0 SU01 installed on the Server you also have to install the App builder and the CP Manager updates to the client desktop for App Bldr and and the Manager on the server. If you have a seperate server for CP reporter, you need to install the...
Changing everyone to 5 digit ext#s is one option, but if you are running out of 4 digit numbers the better solution is to introduce location codes for the remote sites. IE dial XX (AC2) XXX (location code) then the 4 digit ext# at the far end. (This asumes you only have one Nars access code for...
John
I think the Call Pilot SID needs to match the PBX SID. So both the PBX and Call Pilot ID's (Dongles/chips) need to be moved to the other location. A lenthy process for a back up contingency.
Nortel has released Call Plot 4.0.4 SU01 with updates for application builder and manager. You should install these on your CP 4.0 and CP manager. There is reference to resolving problems using CP 4 app bldr and manager fixes related to compatibility with older releases of Call Pilot.
