If I have to reseat loop 46, do I have to disable dch 15 and 16 first? Dch 15 is the primary and dch 16 is the backup and both dch's are servicing loop 46.

And also what's the asterisks means right next to each channels?

because the d's are not on that card, the only need to dis dch is inorder to disl the loop.. you do not need to disl msdl.. dis dch 16 auto, dis dch 15 auto from 96 and disl 46 in 60.. then reseat, you need to be carefull that that card does not have daughter cards.. the * is pri.. when you dis the d's, calls will not drop on the other pri's you can't get new calls.. i would disi 46, that disables the channels when idle.. then take the d's down, i always dis the d's to avoid a possible ini.. remember after the enll, lcnt

can you re-phrased that John, please? I have to disable both d-channels even though the d's are not on that card.

if it's a tmdi, dis tmdi 46.. and if it has daughter boards

I think there is some confusion here..... I see that both the dch 15 and BDCH 16 neither reside on loop 46 according to the provided printout. You are good to go to disable loop 46. As John mentioned, DISI (which is a frendly disable)loop 46, once disable4d as noted by PRI code...then do what you need to do then enable. The d-channels will not be impacted unless something else you do to that pri card INI's the PBX.

That's how I did it. I disabled the loop and reseated the card without disabling the dch. The switch did not ini.

ini's can be your friend, the boss knows how lucky he has you there, after all you got the switch up so fast!
