Trying to make a huge VSS database smaller

I have a huge VSS DB (21.2 GB! Not my fault, really). I'd used a method to copy the whole thing to another VSS server so that I could delete all projects except one. Even though I deleted the projects, the data files corresponding to the old (deleted) projects didn't disappear, so the DB...

Determining the amount of space a project takes

I think I may have the world's largest VSS DB (21.2 GB! Not my fault, really). I'd used a method to copy the whole thing to another VSS server so that I could delete all projects except one. Even though I deleted the projects, the data files corresponding to the old (deleted) projects didn't...

Check http://weblogs.asp.net/korbyp/archive/2003/10/20/54226.aspx It seems to work but doesn't copy the user list or access rights. The author does have a tool that can do that however. Not clear how you're setting up your cookies, but if you have something like a 'Set-Cookie' header, you should be able to add '....;expires=Thursday, 26-Sep-02 00:00:01 GMT' to it.

IIS 5 FTP Access denied with Windows 2000 Server

On the D: directory that the virtual FTP site points to: Have you given the IUSR_computername account 'Add' and 'Read' access to the actual directory? That may help. Likewise, you could give the Everyone group read access to see if it's a permissions problem How are you testing it? (ftp...

    IIS Virtual Directory Error????

I see this on my workstation using IIS Mgr, but not when I 'Term Serv' to the server hosting the web site. It's weird, but from my workstation, if I stop and then restart the site, the 'error' sign goes away.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! LOSING MY MIND

I agree that it could be a SCSI problem, but I didn't see anyone mention that it could be incorrectly terminated. Check to see that someone didn't forget to put the terminator on/back on.
