my friend has an ibm thinkpad 380xd and purchased a netgear fa411 ethernet card... when we put the card in and hook up the cat-5 and install the drivers... the link/activity light just blinks a constant blink... i figured that the light should be solid... is it suppose to have a steady...

Hello, someone i know just got thier LinkSys DSL/Cable Router (BEFSR41). Their ISP is Comcast @Home (cable) and cannot seem to get the computer to connect through the router. When you disconnect the router and hook up the config as usual, it works fine, but there is juts no net activity going...

well, as long as u have an internet connection you should be good. preferably a cable modem or DSL or faster...something with a static IP is best...since ur not on a LAN you should have the modem directly into your PC or whatever, so in windows 2000 pro..install IIS 5.0 in the ad/remove windows...
