In my NEC 2400 IPX. My question here (after I post this I'll start digging into the manuals) is do any IP phones that are associated with the IP Pad card need to be in the same Unit or PIM as the Card?
I currently have one IP Pad card in the switch that has 83 IP phones associated with it. I...
Currently the 2000 has Switch #2 set (Dip switch number from the RIGHT 1-8) 1&2 Down, 3 UP, 4&5 Down and 6,7,&8 UP
I've got my 2400 card manual but am not having any luck finding my 2000 card manual. How do you show that switch to should be set to set it to 48 kbps.
the 2400 is currently...
SW 17 is currently set with 1-7 ON and 8 OFF. Giving me 64 kbps on the Pad Pattern and making the Signal Channel #7 (which is what the lights indicate ).
SW 18 is currently set with 1-5 ON and 6 Off and 7 and 8 ON setting a Transfer speed of 56 kbps. When I tried setting it to 1 - 7 ON and...
I inherited a NEC 2000 that is connected to our 2400IPX via 8 channels (or it could be 6) of a T1 line. These channels are used for 4 digit dialing within our system. However this one switch alone in our collective constantly drops or often fails to connect 4 digit calls. If you watch the...
I have 10 switches that we are in the process of gathering information on in order to figure out what we have and what we want to replace them with.
1 2400 IPX
2 2400 IMG's
7 2000's
What commands do I run in order to determine the Software/Firmware version of each switch?
If it's in the...
Our old AD-40 voicemail system tried to die yesterday. After several reboots I got it off its face and onto its knees.
While it seems to be working, it is throwing a new (to me) error. The error seems to be generated when a message is left (but not every time a message is left, I think)...
I have a 2400 IPX that connects to several remote sites and offers 4 digit dialing to the users at those sites for calls within the county offices. At (as far as we know)only one location we have had constant problems with calls dropping shortly after connecting (4 digit in and outbound)or not...

Is it possible to program a individual phones flex keys? The phone is a 16 button Dterm Series i and the request is to, if possible, turn off the Flex Keys (aka soft keys) on a specific phone.
Can this be done?
When running DFTD this morning (I run it every workday morning) I found this while looking at the file.
DFTD 14/11/04 08:18

Reprograming it worked.
It seems to be a system wide programing in our switch. I have to wonder if in a previous incarnation that phone number (4 digit extension, aka DID) someone was playing with the phone and programmed the number. I'm not 100% sure that I have ever seen this happen on...
I'll give that a try. However this has never been an issue before. Anytime I install a new phone from scratch on that switch (find an unused DID and an unused LENS and introduce them, let them go on a few dates ...some flowers..etc) that "Message" button has always worked to dial our...
NEAX 2400 IPX switch using both DTR's and ITR's. However the issue seems to be limited to only one phone (maybe two) at this time. All other phones on the switch auto dial our voice-mail when you go off hook and press the "Message" button (Right below the "Directory" button on a Determ Series...
I do DFTD/RALM pretty much every day, except weekends. The problem must be the CCIS failures. At roughly one per minute it would only take 8 and a half hours to fill the buffer.
I'll clear it when I leave this evening (at 1700) and see if it flips CPUs tonight.
Is it possible to set, by preference for a single user but if needs be then globally, the USER greeting to a longer time then the AD-40 default.
The situation is this. The local court shares our County Phone and Voice Mail system and they read the last days court rulings in each day as the...
Thanks, they do have the ability to dial 4 digits and access the overhead page system and I have tested it and it works. They just wanted (hence I just wanted) to know if a internal paging system was possible.
Again thanks.
