Good morning!
I'm building an application where I need to go to a list of documents (Word, Excel, etc.) and I then need to select documents that have been modified prior to a date that is supplied. I can get to the list of documents with no trouble, but am not aware of how to select the...
Good afternoon all..
I have a problem that is probably relatively easy to correct. I have a Ouick Parts field - "Invoice Amount" - that is a currency field in SharePoint but displays as a numeric field on the Word template. I need a way to format this currently shown field so that it will...
Good afternoon.
I'm a long-time member of Tek-Tips - often a contributor at times in the past.
I'm now working with developing applications within SharePoint 2013. I'm very new using this product, but certainly realize the depth and complexity of the product. Right now, I'm building an...
A new question - or at least one that I can't find on this forum.
Have a machine with XP pro and latest SP - domain and/or workstation admins can log on without problem, but regular user can't. When a regular user logs on, the screen becomes blue with a mouse arrow that moves with mouse...
Model is a SL510. I can find the "thinkvantage" program and am able to disable it for now. Thanks for the quick, and accurate, response. I do like this product - it works! Again, thanks!!

I have a Levono laptop with the fingerprint logon feature, and I would like to disable that feature so that I can get back to the simple XP logon screen (listing users). I have tried removing anything related to "Levono" in the "Startup" tab of the System Configuration screen. This should be a...
The laptop with the installation issues contains all of Microsoft's application development software, and that is probably why there were so many files.

It was actually about a million (997,643) files that had to be expanded - not sure that's the same as copied. I watched it run - for awhile anyway.

Certainly longer than I have ever experienced! Disc check prior to installation showed no problems - I think the time taken was needed because of the large number of files to be copied - close to a million. Certainly running well now. Just as a point of interest, we did an old XP machine today...
Neither have I! Took a veryyyyyy long time to upgrade! I've done quite a few, and had problems you mentioned originally, but never one like this one. All seems to be working fine at this point.

Thanks linney,
The DVD in use in this case was from Microsoft - from the family pack. We decided not to shut everything down just to see what would happen while we searched for possible solutions. After a period of a couple of hours sitting at 21%, the installation continued. The whole process...
While 'Expanding Windows files', process progress until reaching (21%) at which point no further progress is noted - even after waiting over an hour. What is happening? And what needs to be done next? (Being installed on a HP laptop with Vista.) Must I start over? Or is there something that can...
Thanks! I did finish the installation, but haven't had time to test everything yet. Sony does have MPEG drivers for Windows 7 and some machines, but not for the RA820G - the one that I have. Will post any problems that I can't resolve. Again, thanks..

I have been running Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) since it was available, and have had no problems on my Sony VGC-RA820G desktop PC. I would now like to install a released version of Windows 7 on the same PC, but get a message that the MPEG RealTime encoder board is not compatible. Any...
Most things seem to work fine when installing as you suggest, but this is one that seems to have me stumpted! (Don't know about that spelling!) Since I'm the only user on this computer, I install everything as administrator and for everyone.
