also, check the system environment variable PATH
to see if it references the server....
remove it if so, this can make a difference

Hi,
Been using Sysprep and cloning tools to deploy a corporate image.
Now I'm doing a new version of my image and when I run Sysprep, it does its thing but it isn't shutting down like it did before.
Been on sp3 since the past 2 images, I hadn't updated the sysprep version and it worked before...
what I mean is :
i use sysprep and ghost to duplicate standard images.....
If I use riprep will i have the same partitions, the same installed applications etc..
I cant find a straight answer

Ive got a strange one here . . .
We have a server W2k3 with around 50 System DNS ODBC entries.
I just noticed that some are missing. They all were added with the GUI tool (no reghacks here), but some that exist, work ok are lissing when I go to the SYstem DSN panel.

But your solution wont make the printer universally installed......
And if i run an application via a service (ie autoexnt), then it runs with the local system account rights...

For W2000 I have found :
"w32tm - once"
registry setting SpecialSkew to change to Weekly
This means the above command is run and W2000 will not resynchronise automatically for one week...
