Hi,
We seem to have only 2 sessions and we keep getting times when an user needs to dial in but it says the number of sessions has exceeded the maximum.
So I have to start up Terminal Services Manager and "Reset" one of them, which is a pain.
Is there a way to prevent this happening in the...
Hi,
PMJI - I am experiencing this same problem, but I don't know how to track down the "offending e-mail".
The job log doesn't even mention which mailbox to look at for the problem. Even if I could find out the mailbox I could perhaps delete it from the backup temporarily.
Can you help me ...
I'd really appreciate your help.
Will the size of this file (on my C drive) reduce if I dramatically increase the amount of RAM in my system ?
I am planning to upgrade my server from 1.5GB to 2.5GB and my maintenance provider thinks it won't make any difference.
I thought it would because...
Hi,
Thanks.
Regarding finding out how much of the store is currently being used, though, I want to know the TOTAL size currently in use for the mailboxes/public folders, so I can see how much is free at this moment in time.

Jay
Hi,
I've just realised I need another date calculation formulae in my datebase which I'm not sure how to do.
I think it would be good if my "next service date" was a calculated field too, as it is always 1 year on from "last service date" and that'd save me typing it in each time and reduce...
Hi,
Thanks.
I've tried both of your suggestions and am still getting a "#Name?" error message.
My current date field is currently only on a table, as I only use it for calculation purposes, and I can't see any need to store it in a table. It is called "Current date" and the control source is...
Hi,
I would like to know the formulae for creating for calculating the number of calendar days between two dates which are stored in my database - ie. next service date - current date = x number of days.
As well as creating a result (for displaying on the "Servicing" form), I would like to use...
Hi,
That's disappointing, but I can see why Exchange works the way it does.
Sounds like I need to find out how big our Exchange store is and how much (in total) of it is currently being used by the Mailboxes and by our Public Folders.
Can you help me with this ?
Regards,
Jay
Hi,
A user who's recently left the company had a huge mailbox which I have archived off the server into a PST and imported it into his Team Leader's Outlook so she can retrieve any items she needs. This has all gone fine.
Where I'm struggling is in freeing up the nearly 1.0GB of space which...
Hi,
The page explaining about relational databases is very, very interesting.
But it's hard for me to see how it can help me with my current database requirement, which is really quite simple - I want to store ALL the data about each vehicle in my fleet, and be able to create customised...
Hi again,
I've come "unstuck" again so I need your assistance please.
My fleet table has run out of spare fields as the total allowed is 255 and I need more (lots more, in fact). Each field represents a separate piece of data about a vehicle in my fleet - some of which is basic data such as...
Hi,
Whether I add /ALL to the IPCONFIG command or not, I still get a different IP address to the one I am using through Remote Desktop which makes me wonder if these IP addresses are the correct ones.
In fact, even more puzzling is that today when I checked IPCONFIG it's given me a different...
Hi again,
I've just made a few simple changes with Group Policy edit, but they haven't taken effect.
Do they only take effect after a logoff/logon or a reboot ?

Hi,
I wasn't sure about the /norestart switch you mention because the updates are downloaded automatically. The user gets a gold screen in their taskbar to prompt them to install them, and I couldn't see anywhere in there to add command line switches because as soon as it completes it starts...
Hi,
Could you tell me how a Windows XP user checks the IP address allocated to him by our server whilst connected to our server using VPN.
I thought it was using IPCONFIG at the command prompt, but I'm not sure because it shows my IP address whilst on the VPN as a different number to what I...
Hi,
If Remote Desktop blanks the screen of the host PC, then that's exactly what I wanted, and I don't need to worry about VNC at all.
... which is good news, because I can get VNC to work within the LAN, but haven't succeeded across the internet).

Jay
Hi,
The calculated fields are mainly to be used in reports - eg. Difference in fuel expenditure between one month and the next ? AND total cost of fuel over the course of a year ?
However, I do want some fields in my forms because I have one called payment schedule and I want it to calculate...
Hi,
Is there a way of getting rid of the irritating prompt that Windows XP keeps popping up to ask the user to reboot following an update ?
Appart from the annoying nature of the message, there's a risk that the user may accidentally click on "restart now" and waste time waiting for the PC to...
I have successfully imported my fleet data from a variety of Excel spreadsheets to Access, and got everything the way I want - with just one exception.
I want to do some basic calculations using some fields of the database - to start off with, I want a field to show a sum of the two fields...
