Yea, I tried that, but it records the file that I'm duplicating it to. And then when I run the action it copies the editable layer over and over again into the same file instead of moving onto the other images in the same folder.
Is there any way to copy an editable text layer from one .psd file into another .psd file and be able to record that action?
I am able to copy the text layer, but when I paste it into the other image file it is non-editable.
When I just drag the layer from one image to the other it does not...
I'm trying to convert images from GIF to JPG.
The thousands GIF files reside in multiple sub-folders. I would like the converted JPGs to be saved in the same folder as the GIF file it originated from.
I've created an action and ran it through the batch process. The files converted to JPG OK...
I would like to add a single page to the front of the document. The current pages are in a spread format.
Everytime I try to add the one page it creates it as a two page spread.
I need the first page of the document a single page so the second page prints on the back side.
Do I need to create...
Is there a formula or procedure that will automatically calculate the total number of pages within the book and place that total on each of the pages?
Example: Page 3 of 305
I know how to get the individual pages to show up, but I don't know how to get the total (305) to show up. There are 19...
Thank you all for your help. Very much appreciated.
Upon further investigation and your help I discovered that
The "version" drop down menu does not appear until you have given the file a name and pressed OK. Then the second save-as menu screen appears. It is at this point when there is a drop...
Hummm.
That didn't work.

AutoCAD Interchange File(DXF)
BMP(BMP)
Enhanced Metafile(EMF)
JPEG(JPG)
Macintosh PICT(PCT)
Macromedia Flash(SWF)
Photoshop(PSD)
PNG(PNG)
Targa(TGA)
Text Format(TXT)
TIFF(TIF)...
I created an image in CS2, but my client needs it saved in an earlier Illustrator version so he can make some modifications.
I tried saving it as a .pdf file to see if that would open in his earlier Illustrator version, but he says that he hasn't been successful in opening the file.

I just found out how to do it.
When printing your book, export out to PDF.
This will retain the page layout for each document within the book.

Thanks everyone :0)

Thank you for your help, but I guess I don't understand why the print command can not understand that the original pages are set up landscape and some are portrait. If I was to print the documents individually, without making them into a book, the printout prints them what ever page layout I...

My InDesign book is composed of landscape & portrait documents. When I try to print the book ALL the pages become portrait, (I don't mean rotating the landscape ones) thus cutting off some of the tables that were originally layed out in landscape.
Is there an option that I'm supposed to select...

I would like to import each of their Word documents into one InDesign document and keep them all linked in case they make changes to their Word documents.
However, when I place each Word document into one text box and a change is made to one of the...
