    J179/JEM24 firmware update message

    All of the J179 sets I have deployed with JEM24 modules are showing a firmware download on the JEM yet the firmware never updates. Anyone ever run into this? I have replaced phone and module with new out of box, cleared all values and the error comes back after about an hour.

    It's been a while but I seem to remember being told to NEVER change the name on a mailbox but to out it and rebuilt it to prevent data corruption. We will be migrating to Avaya Red/Avaya Messaging soon and my engineers asked me to be sure that the names on the stations and the mailbox names...

    you need to configure 2 keys on your phone....MIK to set message light and MCK to cancel. Press MCK then enter extension number of phone you want to turn off light for and press MCK again You can then trace the TN to verify that it is off

    from your post, mailbox 54 should be ext 54...you mention that you can check mailbox 54 from another extension....put that extension in for mailbox in F983 and you should find your fix
