Hi, my homey Darren figured it out:
In voice mail administration I deleted the mailbox for the employee on leave then assigned that extension as an Alternate Extension for the employee replacing.
Thanks!
Hello,
We have a BCM 450.
We have an employee who is taking a medical leave and I am having a bit of difficulty with the forwarding. We would like callers to be forwarded to another person in the department however, I don't want the calls to be routed back to the original employee's voice mail...
Okay, I finally managed to get this working. First thing I did was I put all the sets back where they belong and made sure that they had their original extensions. I put Set Relocation back to "N".
Then I removed the answer DN so I was back to square one.
I then changed DNs with the two...
***************************************
No the answer dn should work,
user 1 = ext 111 (no phone)
user 2 = ext 222 with an answer dn of 111
user 3 = ext 333
If you call ext 111 from the 222 set it will show as out of srvice but if you call 111 from any other set it will ring at 222.
Good luck...
Well, it worked but now I would like to change the new user's phone (user3) to a new extension. If you remember from my initial post that he is using user1's phone.
When I change DN's the Answer DN no longer works, it says that the ext is not in service. Any way to circumvent this?
Hi,
I'm a novice at Nortel administration so bear with my naivete.
I have two users (user1 and user2) who had separate offices. One of the users (I will call her user1) only comes in once a week so we're combining their offices into one. I am taking user1's phone and giving it to a new...
I can only choose an internal extension whenever I try to set up these features however I would like to direct calls to an external number. I'm thinking that this must be a restriction which is set up somewhere else. Any thoughts?
Much appreciated, thanks.
