Thanks guys. I was using the wrong default password. I feel pretty stupid. I haven't had a lot of spare time to delve into 4.0 and I didn't know there was a separate password to upgrade and monitor. Doh!

The password is correct (default - Administrator) The machiine I am using to upgrade the IP Office has VMPro running on it as well so it has a static IP and is directly connected to the switch. no firewall.
