I am trying to set up a new IP phone. I'm not having any problem with initial set up, but after I enter the node it prompts me for a password, which I get wrong, and then it jumps to a screen where it says invalid TN and the TN is all 0's. It won't let me enter a TN. I'm assuming the password is to enter a TN but how do I find out what that password is?

I tired the default color*set but that's not it. I'm thinking it is set in the CS1000 but where?

Are you referring to the SCPW passcode?. Or is it this below?.

You are prompted to enter the fixed password 26567*738 (color*set)

can also be set for 1140E and 1150E sets

Please also be aware of nodePwdShow which is another possible password on the system.
It can be printed from Element manager
S/S...IP TELEPHONY....NODE...GEN COMMANDS...NODEPWDSHOW...RUN....it tells you the password
Or directly from a Telnet session.
Other pwd commands are
nodePwdSet Set password for current node
nodePwdShow Show node password setting
nodePwdEnable Enable node password setting
nodePwdDisable Disable node password setting
nodeTempPwdSet Set a temporary password for current node
nodeTempPwdClear Clear the temporary password for current node
