Status Update:
I purchased a 355AF adapter and a serial adapter so that it would fit the computer. Still nothing. Hyperterminal says its connected but just gives me a blinking cursor. Still no link activity with the unlabeled Lan port. Any other thoughts now?

How does wire 2 go to 8,6, and 1 ? Am I reading this wrong?
I have a partner mail VS R5.0 and it doesn't have the LAN labeled but the RS232 is and their is a hole for both. I still wasn't getting connectivity with a cross over cable but I'm still working on that.
I did run out and get a Crossover cable and tried to connect it directly to a PC, WINDOWS XP reports Network Cable not attached when I plug it from the LAN connector to the PC. I am going to assume that it does not have a LAN adapter installed and am giving up. Keep me posted if you find a...
I am connected to the RS232 Connector. I tried everything this weekend. I also only have the RS232 Labled so it might be an old one. Dang that manual telling me I could do it!!! Let me know if you figure it out and I will you but I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it anymore.
