    The correct driver is installed and was by w2k itself, i also updated it with the latest w2k driver from the relevant website. I even removed it and replaced it with a differant make and installed the w2k driver for that card but still no good. I can set the resolution no problem to what i want...

    Im using NTFS file system, hard drive was partitioned before loading OS and has been perfect for months until now. CHKDSK will run but WILL NOT repair errors..... Many Thanks for your help and i will check out the above utility.... A complete format and re-install is the last option.....
