Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters

The machine is not clustered. The connectivity is set in the report, but a prompt asks me for entering the database setup - selected check box in the database tab(which is not really used, because it is already set in the report).

Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters

Thanks for your quick reply again. Each of the 10 servers I have only once in the list. Could it be, that it's somehow related to ODBC, which I use to get a connection the Oracle database?

Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters

It's me again. I hoped that it was solved with not entering a "*" only. But unfortunatelly it isn't. Today I got the same problem again: Run the report on CE10 with a fully entered parameter -> no problem. Run the report again with a fully entered parameter -> got this strange error. Who can help?

Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters

Thanks for the quick reply. I entered the correct Logon parameters (user/password). What do you mean with the Properties tab? If you mean the parameter screen - yes, this a get, enter the parameters and press the OK button. Afterwards I get the error message. In the mean time I tried something...

Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters

Hi, when I bring a report, created either with CR8.5 or with CR11 to CE10, I can run it without problems. If I start the report a 2nd time, I get the following error: "Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters". I have to restart CE to run the report a 2nd time. As I read, the report...

Run Crystal Reports against several Databas users

Thanks for the hint. It seems to me, that this is the solution and this would mean, that you have another option in CR8.5 to handle this. I'm sitting between the creator of the report and our clients, so I don't add the additional parameter by my own, but I forwarded it to the developer of the...

Run Crystal Reports against several Databas users

I'm using CR10 and load the data via ODBC from an Oracle database. On that database we have several database users, let's say user1 and user2. The report gets created by another college. If I get the report, I select a view, which brings me the data. For that I have to go to "Database - Set...

Logon to Crystal Management Console fails

Hi, it's solved. Unfortunately I don't know the exact reason. One reason could be, that I did choose "Register later" after the reinstallation. But this was not the only reason, because I did register after reinstallation at one of my many attempts and it didn't work. Another reason...

Logon to Crystal Management Console fails

We tried to logon with the NT user's password (as Administrator). No success. The Plu In was not installed. I also can not get into ePortfolio. Logon as Guest also doesn't work. Because of this trouble, we already trashed the whole NT server and reinstalled everything (NT Server with IIS and...

Logon to Crystal Management Console fails

Hi, after a successful installation of Crystal Enterprise (8.5) I called Crystal Management Console and was asked for the user/password. I typed in "Administrator" without password, but it didn't work. I tried many versions (administrator, admin, empty, ...) - nothing works. During the...

select a database the report should run against

Hi Kai, thanks for your quick answer. This helps me a bit only. The reference to the tables/views in the database is in the report itself. If I know all database users, it's OK. But we want to send the reports to our clients. They have the same database schema like we have (they use our...

select a database the report should run against

Hi, a report was developed for database1 (Oracle). The report is saved as ....rpt file. I want to use the same report on different databases without creating new ....rpt files for each of the databases. How can I force the user to enter a database connection and to ensure, that the report runs...
