we are running oracle 10g on AIX 6.1 and the database size is around 9TB. the system is cpu intensive and always runs at 100% utilization. However we used to run the same database in HP world and it was not consuming such high CPU. please advise!!

hi, you can keep both file types. AIX 5L will support jfs as well as jfs2. but you can't modify the jfs file type to jfs2 file type. in order to do that, you need to create new jfs2 file type and then migrate the data from jfs to jfs2. let me know if you have any questions. thanks
