On the console there is an information:

"A degradation condition has been detected on device dac0
Either the disk has become degraded or the disk controller has detected an error."

The system verification and problem determination using "diag" result is: "No troubles were found"

Any idea? There are also no errors on DS4800 or SAN switches.

thx,!

power and fun is ok. as I told diag says all is ok.

besides, the same box (p570) has also the other lpars which doesn't report such problem

Recently i had the same kind of problem. i am sure the fiber channel switch path is misconfigured... may zones and zone sets related..
if possible try to exportvg and rmdev all the devices that belongs to DS4800 and then run cfgmgr.

#fget_config -Av

run the above command on LPAR and check the number of dar and dac devices.

you should see 2 dacs under each dar. if not you need to reconfigure the FC switch...

on the system/lpar the problem is reported during boot the command you wrote says:

# fget_config -Av

---dar0---

User array name = '01_DS4800'
dac0 ACTIVE dac1 ACTIVE

Disk DAC LUN Logical Drive

hdisk0 dac0 0 system_d
hdisk1 dac1 1 db_d1
hdisk2 dac0 2 db_d2
hdisk3 dac0 3 fc_d1
hdisk4 dac1 4 fc_d2
