Hi guys,
I am getting the following error message:
"Cannot start microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again."
In the past this has been caused by Cached Exchange...
I would, but the telephone number is provided by XP when you click on activate by telephone, and since windows thinks it is already activated, and won't log on, I can't get the correct telephone number, or another activation code to give to microsoft.
At the logon screen my sons' pc says it needs to be activated, but it has been activated already. I have acepted its offer to activate now, and it confirms that it is already activated, and dumps me back to the logon screen. It is a legit OEM version of XP, registered by telephone with microsft...
I've solved the problem now guys. I was indeed going to 'services' and clicking the messenger service and the clicking start. The problem was caused by the trial download of LANTalk I had installed. Once I had disabled this software the messenger service started normally. Thanks for the replies...
