We have a 3020 Concentrator, and I am looking for a way to limit a group to access only one ip address within my network. Is there any way that anyone knows of to do that using the edquipment I have?
Thanks

I am not looking for auditing, just want to know where all a user is logged on at the time. I am doing a Palm Pilot install for a generic user that might be signed on in multiple machines. The problem occurs when they sign the machine that does not have a palm attached, and it writes over the...
Under AD and server 2000 how do I check to see if a user is logged onto multiple machines and what they are. It used to be easy on NT and I have just not found the way on AD.
Thanks

Does anyone know what Windows policy (in server 2000) to turn on to get this to hit all our pc's. Or possibly a registry entry. Also, how about the issue that net send will not cross subnets

We would like to change the local admin password on all of our pc's. We have the password that our install vendor used and we are looking for a way to change it with a .bat file or registry entry that we can push using our software deployment server that we have. We do not want to sign on to...
We have a Cisco 3020 concentrator. At this time we have business on our network that has it's own DNS and domain, but they also have to access our DNS and domain. The 3020 seems to only allow one dns suffex per group. Does anyone know how to add multiple domain suffexes to the 3020?

Has anyone out here done a silent removal of all clients in a network. We have norton 7.0 to 7.6 on about 700 NT machines throughout the network. The users are not administrators of their own machines. We have tried logon scripts gotten hit by the authority. Somewhere I read that there was a...
I was checking my profile size when I went from an NT workstation to a w2k workstation. It was about 4 meg on my NT box, and it is now about 16 meg since I went to W2k. When I look out there at documents & Settings, then my user, then cookies, it says 428kb file size and size on disk 10.3 Meg...

For my backup stuff, I need to run a job on my backup server that is called from another server.
SERVER-B runs a job at midnight that syncs a mirrored disk set and then submits a job to run my backup program.
I moved the backup hardware and software to another server, SERVER-BACKUP. The...
Thanks for the info. That took care of the problem, I even called tech support and they could not tell me that.
Great Forum!

Thanks for the info, however the domino server and the other servers that we cannot access are not Microsoft products, therefor cannot be seen by WINS. I do use WINS along with the DNS server. Again, this only occurs with W2k and not with our NT, 95, 98, ME, AS400, or Linux clients, so I think...
We are testing several W2K pc's and seem to have found a consistant problem. After an amount of time (hours to days, it varies) we can no longer get internal servers by tcp name lookup. If we ping the server "domino" (which normaly works ok and still works for all NT and 95 machines)...
We changed the Legato server name and have changed the servers file on all of our NT boxes. Most of them we have already re-booted to cause the servers file to reload, but I have about 10 boxes that are very hard to take down for any amount of time to re-boot. I was wondering if anyone out...
