Well, as it turns out, I had no idea what a dongle was, and therefor had no clue that i needed one, or had one. I called Micros Support, they informed me what one was, so I had to search through the hotel to find this darn thing. I found it attached to the back of the Front Desk Manager's...
Ok, well...I have ISS running, that seems to be fine. (why does it have to run anyways??)
All the services are running that need to be, basically everything that says Micros next to it, with the exception of the Micros Backup Server one....

I also wanted to ask, I checked the host file like it was suggested to me earlier in the forum. everything checked out, but what about DNS servers, (primary, etc) Should anything be specified there? and if so, what should they be?
I can open the db using dbisql and Sybase Central, however, using Sybase central I can't do some of the operations because nobody knows the dba password for it. But I can get in using a userid/passwd like custom/custom

Well, the computer name is correct, and the IP is the same as it was before. I found the info in a text file in the admin folder. I also checked the host file and everything is fine and matches there also. Still stuck on the same problem, the POS Operations will not initialize the database...
Ya know, I'm not sure. How could I tell what I need to set the IP address to? I belive it is set at 192.168.100.250

Also I have noticed that the Service that runs the Backup Micros Database won't start. I've tried to start it and it won't start...
