    I have a user who is amending an internal telephone directory. Every time she cuts some details from one page to another though, half the page she has cut the info from seems to vanish? I assume that it must be the way something is et up, but I have no idea where to look for the answer to this.

    Capturing via firewire port

    Pinnacle sees it if I use SVideo, but if I try to use firewire it says device not connected. Firewire port is working fine, and its a new cable.

    Capturing via firewire port

    I have tried several times now to capture video via a firewire connection from my Sony Handycam, without success. The camera isn't seen in the Device Manager. I am running XP Pro, using Pinnacle Studio 9 for capture with AN8 Ultra Mobo and dual core processor with 2Gb memory.

    Thanks both of you for your advice. I currently have an older PC with an Asus K7V board and slowish processor, which is around 6 years old. I run Pinnacle 9 on it but its capture rate is right on the limit, and it takes hours sometimes to render a project. I have 2 quite high capacity disks...

    XP will not allow log in

    I took a look at my fathers machine yesterday as he said it wouldn't let him log in. He is using the splash screen. His username and that of the administrator are not password protected. When you click on his username, XP starts the login process and then comes up with 'saving user settings...
