I have a 9751 with 2 IPDN boards and BOAs. I used to be able to connect to the IPDN using a serial connection on J2 of the BOA and the MAP diskette. My new laptop does not have a floppy drive, so I am wondering if I can connect directly using a terminal emulator such as Procomm or SecureCRT...
Thanks, AvayaTier3!
This worked without using telecommuter when console permissions was not enabled in the cos. I set up telecommuter, changed the autodials and now it works regardless of console permissions enablement.
Thanks again for your help!
Hi,
I am running Avaya Aura CM 6.0 and am having trouble changing coverage paths on a virtual extension from a station that has console permissions. Basically, I had this feature working from my phone (cos without console permissions), but it would not work from the point of service phone...
Wow, that is great! Thanks for all of your help. It used to take weeks to get a response... you guys rock!
The correct answer is RMS1... Thanks donb01 !!!
After spending hours digging through old notes and files, I still cannot come up with the RMX login for the DIUR card in an RMS shelf. I'm reducing the shelf from a half to a quarter shelf to free up some space in a very full system. We're switching out to Avaya in about a year, but I need to...
Need to prevent forwarding (#91) on fax lines Hicom 300H 9006.6. End users keep forwarding their faxes by mistake and I haven't found a way to block through COS. Any ideas? I need to block both internal and external forwarding, but only see an option for external in COS fields.
Thanks,
Joe
Actually you CAN format a new hd without the factory password.
This was already covered in an earlier thread.

Good Luck!
Thanks everyone for all of your help. I was able to nail down the issue... we had acd groups that were routing to recording channels in other nodes. According to manual, acd routes should route to recording channels that reside in the same node as the acd group. I swapped some recording...
I am familiar with expanding the dimen in the hicom, but i'm not sure how to adjust memory partitions in a 9751... i thought that they were dynamically allocated.
Thanks to everyone for your replies
Hello,
I'm working on a 3-node 9751 that keeps accumulating (primarily) app 9s. On a trap, I noticed that there were failures in memory logical partition 1, list 4 (see below. Another thing that I noticed is that the total number of memory failures across the 3 nodes equals the total number of...
I have a Siemens phonemail v 6.4 that I use as a test machine. I have used the diskmaster tool to reformat the hard drives in the past, but I always set the partition size to match the one set in the previous configuration. However, when you run diskmaster and choose the option to create a KSAM...
I have a customer with a Hicom 300 E v6.5 who wants to change the CDR format to display all outgoing calls as 11 digits, even if the end user only dials a 7 digit local number. Can I do that using mform?
Thanks,
Joe
How can I delete the used partitions on an existing DAT tape and reformat the tape for use in backing up a Hicom 300E r. 9006.5? I can read the tape that I have and have verified that it is good using another Unix machine, but when I list the tape using AMO dis-rtape, it shows that I have no...
I was messing around with an Aspect script to rebuild my dialing directory (which is huge and often gets corrupted) and found that I could not set the modem baud settings for the entry using the script (which is very frustrating, considering that I have over 100 entries)... but I found a neat...
Here is my script...
proc main
dialadd DATA GROUP "joe test"
dialadd DATA "joe"
set dialentry access DATA "joe"
set dialentry country "United States of America (1)"
set dialentry areacode "xxx"
set dialentry phonenumber "xxx-xxxx"
set terminal type "9005"
set terminal colors...
Actually, I found that you can disable the automatic service calls with the amo RAFR. Just regen (for reference)then deactivate AFR3 and you still get hista entries, but don't have to worry about the modem trying to send them out.
Another entry that you may want to check is LODR. Some installers/technicians like to do their digit manipulation there. Look at the LROUT and find the field ODR, the corresponding number is the LODR for that particular route. If you dis-lodr, you may find that the outgoing digits are...
