    Cleanup ODB files?

We recently switched over to Wisys WMS from Macola WMS. We have hundreds of ODB (xodb_inv or xodb_rcv or xIAA_odb or xMAA_odb) files in our live company directory. I would like to delete these. Any concerns?

Export of Exact Event Manager Database

Is there a way to export the EEM database? I would like to have a way to see a list of all reports currently scheduled. I know I can get to within the manager, but we have quite a few reports set up and in order to provide a "list" of them to end users, I am doing screen shots...ugh.

    Exact Planner?

Has anyone installed Exact Planner yet?

Shop Order Status View - Operation Info

Not sure on Macola ES but in Progression it was located in the SFDTLFIL, on Rec_type = 'O' in the field acc_act_lbr_hr.

A way to limit bin creation...

Does anyone know of a way to limit bin creation to a certain naming convention or even to lock new bin creation down so only the existing bins are available and new bins would have to be created by a supervisor, etc.?

    Huge IMINVTRX file

dgillz...yes it is MS SQL. The file is 2.8gb...I know it's really bad. NEmacGuy...this is exactly my concern...plus, what about beginning balance records? I've run the reset processes before so that part is no big deal if it will resolve potential issues.

    Huge IMINVTRX file

Anyone using SQL scripts to deal with huge transaction tables? We haven't been able to maintain a purging plan and now the IMINVTRX file is huge. The normal process of purging via spooling the Trx Hist By Item report takes hours and then the Export-Init-Import is another huge chunk of time...

PO Module - Progression 7.6.4 SPB

Is there a field on the PO that would identify the specific department? If so, you could write a sql trigger to change the account number to the correct one when the PO record is added to the table.

General SMTP Mail Failure error w/ Event Manager

Try Vineyardsoft's web site, they are the creators of Event Manager. http://www.vineyardsoft.com Look under support: I found this: General SMTP Mail Failure, check setup = 6000 Solution: This usually means that the SMTP server is shutdown for some reason or the server that it's running on...

    Engage 2008

Seems there are very few Macola sites that push the software to the max. (or to the bleeding edge as Jay stated) I feel like we are one of those sites. At least that's the feeling I get from my BP. We are usually asking them for help on a process that none of their other customers are doing...

7.6.400 SP B - anyone been brave enough to install?

62chev, You will get so much more out of Macola Progression when you move to SQL. I too doubted the value of moving to SQL but it has given us improved performance and the ability to better manage our data and also use the system to better fit our needs. I know it doesn't seem like a db...

    Implementing MRP: Need Help urgent!!!!

I have to agree with dgillz. If you don't get assistance with this project, your probability of a successful implementation is low. On your own you would need to grasp all of Macola's inner processes and how they affect MRP. You don't even have access to the documentation via the portal and...

    Implementing MRP: Need Help urgent!!!!

What version of Macola? Are you familiar with MRP in general? Perhaps from another software package? Do you have a test company set up on your current Macola system? Do you have a consultant or business partner that can help you? Does your company pay for software maintenance? Do you have...

    File Initialize & SQL Triggers

We are using the triggers for the following: Auto populating the bulk weight file (WMS) when an item master record is added or changed. On item master update, syncing the buyer code across all warehouse locations (Inventory Item Location) based on the buyer code in item master. Inventory Item...

    File Initialize & SQL Triggers

Yes, Exact support also had us run the WMS update procedure. I didn't feel the need to go into detail about the WMS issue on this post, but suffice to say it is resolved. I did make a backup of the table prior to the File Init, but a DB backup would have captured the triggers. I didn't catch...

    File Initialize & SQL Triggers

We are on Progression 7.6.300c. I'm not sure about whether they're "supported". Our BP recommended them and wrote them for us.

    File Initialize & SQL Triggers

Is everyone aware that the File Intialize routine in System Manager will result in deleting SQL Triggers from the table? A week or so ago I did a file initialize on the IMINVLOC table at the request of Exact Support to correct some problems with WMS. This table had "several" SQL triggers in...

    WMS Stock Inquiry Problem

This was such an obscure problem I thought it best to post it here! We encountered an intermittent problem with the Stock Inquiry in WMS. For certain items, in multiple warehouses (some binned) a stock inquiry would only list the first bin qty on hand and also listed N/A as the bin number...

    Evaluating Business Partners

This is probably not the place for this discussion, but are there any opinions of BP support versus Macola direct (regional) support?

    Evaluating Business Partners

Does anyone have any info on whether or not Exact does any monitoring or evaluating of their business partners? Seems like a big part of their BP recognition is on "new" sales. What alternatives does a Macola customer have if their BP just doesn't measure up anymore?
