We are being required to start using E911 at our location. Is there somewhere I can go read/watch about how to get started with this? It was my understanding that i could do basic locations like: Building A floor 1, Building A floor 2. Does the CS1000 allow you to send out a regular call id for...
I am going to install a newer version of release 11. What I want to get is a backup config and a backup of the licenses. Just in case the upgrade fails and I have to reset the box. I know if I reset the box (hold button on back) that the licenses are gone as well as the config. Backing up the...
AC DC switches are totally different. you really can not change one over to AC without changing out a lot of hardware, if you can even get the hardware now. And it wont be cheap.
As long as the battery banks are in parallel, it will run fine on one bank. What is the voltage of the "good" bank of...
There are several companies that will repair old nortel phones. i know the 3904s had display issues. something about a heat activated adhesive for the ribbon cable. We use a company called RockComm. https://rockcomm.com/ We have had good luck with their repairs.
my question was not about the QSDI in particular. I was wanting some kind of reference about all card versions/revisions for Rls 7.6. I want to buy some spare cards for my CS1000, and i want to make sure i dont buy a card version that is too old and not compatible.
I know that the newer software releases sometimes required newer hardware revisions of cards. When we upgraded to 7.6 my old quad sdi cards had to be changed out. Where can i find this reference? I want to get a few spare cards and want to make sure i get compatible versions of the hardware.
i did change the bearings in mine. but the electronics were bad. the fans would spin up when powered on, then would stop. this would turn the red light for the column on. my fans are DC fans by the way.
from your 1st post i will assume you dial 8 to get out to the real world. so 8911 needs to dial the local 911 call center. but you also need to make sure that just picking up any phone and dialing 911 will also connect to the local 911 call center. (Kari's Law) Well if you are in the USA...
forwarding a phone will always forward key 0. key 3 will only forward, if it is the only appearance of that number. i see that it is not the MARP, so there has to be another appearance somewhere. you need to forward the phone that has dn 4347 on key 0. or remove all other appearances of 4347.
I am getting reports that people cannot transfer sometimes. i have tried doing some entc but im not seeing anything that looks like conf tds loops in the output. whats the best way to try and track down which conf/tds is giving me trouble?

We have a system wide revert DN defined under the Messaging/Messaging Management Special DNs. If i go into a regular mailbox and blank out the revert dn field, it defaults to the system revert dn. the only way i can seem to disable revert is to: make a new fully restricted RPL. make a new...
