arround synergy .. so june / july this year

sc6 means .... application level 5.1, but a lot of changes in the binaries. But at synergy, 6.1 should be available , with some major changes. So for my point of view, it make no sense to upgrade to 6.0.x, because there are a lot of known problems ... printing, forms designer and so on

Thanks Jim, But we had a look into Servicecenter 6 ( no P4 necessary ) and the server acts as an application server, so the client connects to the application server, not to the RDBMS. I'm not sure with the connection from the appl server to the rdbms , i will check this. What means connection...

Hello, normally a textfile will be opened line by line , with a large textfile, this takes a long time. I saw some tools, which are faster (1 sec compared to 3-5 min). Maybe this is more a block reading ? I don't know , but thanks for ponting me in the right direction ! Thanks Sven
