    Actually I think I may have the answer; I had the images as html <img> and I have changed to <asp:Image ID="Image2" runat="server" ImageUrl="~/images/logo.jpg" /> In addition I changed the response.redirect to "~/page2.aspx" instead of "./page2.aspx" So far all seems good.
