Is there any way to upgrade Nortel 3900 series phones via software, a PC and some kind of hardware interface? Getting exclusive access to the Switch for the firmware upgrade process is very difficult on our site.
I'm guessing the answer is no, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

It turns out it was a firmware issue with the phones. I thought that they had pushed firmware updates to several hundred 3905s, but it turns out there was a glitch in the automated firmware updates -- and they started had with the 3904s anyhow -- and only got about a third...

Thanks, John. I think you're right. The problem is getting our Vendor to the point that they will call Nortel. Our engineer will be back on Monday. He may have a direct path to Nortel or at least the authority to get our Vendor to do contact them. I had just never seen anything quite like this...
Thanks, pronei and bztguy, but this issue effects all 3905s, despite the firmware release. We have been pushing the new firmware out to the sets. I'm not sure how far along that is -- there's about 1,800 sets, I believe.
