I have a card which has 4 ports. It looks like an analog trunk card, but again, it appears like it needs RJ-45 type connectors instead of RJ11.
The following details/numbers are written on the card:
FC5104
FC514FW5954
PCS 1.0
PBA Analog 4x PCS02
40YPB5002UKFW
Can someone in the know tell me...
Hello pple,
I am running Windows 7 on my Desktop PC.
For some strange reason, when I launch IP Office Manager, it causes my Domain Controller to shut down the DHCP Server service.
Has anyone observed this?
I have checked and can't find what is causing this. All my IPOs are not set to act as...
So, as a local BP puts it, I need to pay them US$ 400 for merging my licenses into a single dongle, and then I pay the cost of freighting the old dongles to Avaya:-)
Is that what you guys call "cheap"?
Am I buying a new dongle, or merging into one of the ones I have?
Given that I have several...
Are you serious?? Well, nice deal!!
I have these dongles now:
1. Serial No. 4033796 (serial 25-pin) - it contains my VM Pro licenses
2. Serial No. 4710702 (serial 9-pin) - it has the IP EndPoint License
I only need to keep one and would prefer the 9-pin one because I've read that I can stick...
@rockspop - This is what we got as a result of that test..
13:35:02 dial 3806 route:UDP|AAR
13:35:02 term trunk-group 1 cid 0x6
13:35:02 dial 3806 route:UDP|AAR
13:35:02 route-pattern 103 preference 1 cid 0x6
13:35:02 seize trunk-group 1 member 17 cid 0x6
13:35:02...
You mean 4710702, right??
So this is what I will need to get migrated to the dongle I use for VM Pro license.
My BizPartner called today to tell me that the license swap to another dongle is possible, and that it will take not more than two weeks, but he tells me there is a cost to it, which...

The call has originated from IP Office and is being transferred to a short code which is defined on the Definity.
The Definity has both physical stations and short codes, which dial some mobile numbers for users.
Normal station to station calls work of, within the Definity and even from...
Hello people,
I have an IP trunk between IP Office and Definity. I am able to transfer calls from IP Office to stations/extensions on the Definity. However, when I try to transfer calls to short codes on the Definity, everything fails, and below is the error code, from a trace on the trunk...
You are serious they cannot be merged into one of the dongles I already have? Must the BP sell me a new dongle?
Actually, now that we're talking about dongles, I have in my possession so many of them.. about 5, some of which I don't even know what they came with. The guys who were running the...
I have several sites. At one site I have mobility licenses that was issued against a USB dongle. I have the license key and the dongle.
At another site, I have a serial dongle, which has VM Pro licenses.
I have spoken to a local BP (in Kenya) about merging the licenses to one dongle but they...
Hello Guru,
I am having a bad week with IPOs.... that for some strange reason, call transfers are simply failing. My biggest problem is that this happens with the receptionist's phone.
All incoming external calls get routed to the extn 3505. My receptionists has three phones/extns at their...
@seryozha - That is an interesting answer. I have never experienced such. On my 406v2, I have 4 incoming lines, routed to one extn for the reception. I must say either my PBX is misconfigured or my analog card has a problem.
1. There are times when NOT all lines are busy, but when I make a...
@tlpeter - I don't use any * in the short codes.
@IPGuru - Firmware ver 5.0.18. The transfers are being done to short codes defined on a Definity system. These short codes work when dialed from desktop phone.
@djuplift - yes, that is what I am doing. It's working with some extns/short codes...
@djuplift - We dial 9 only for national numbers, which go out through the analgue trunks and some GSM gateways which use IP trunks. For the purpose of my case with VM Pro, the numbers are all extensions/short codes within the setup.
Hello guru,
Having not attended any Avaya/VoIP courses, I keep wondering about a lot of things I encounter. Today something hot me thinking:
I am looking at my IP Trunks and I see them configured with
x - Number of channels
x - Outgoing channels
x - voice channels
Now my questions:
1. How does...
@tlpeter - the reason I transfer to a short code is two-fold, but it's basically the reason we invested in VM Pro for our IP 0ffice. Let me explain in black and white.
We have a big network - Kenya, Moscow, London, Cyprus, etc.
Each of these locations have either an IPO40x or Definity switch...
