NEC NEAX 2400IPX - Dterm Series E Speaker button

In akyd you can set the phone so that you can change the flex keys. THe spk key is a flex key. You can leave the spk blank but then you need to assign all of the other flex keys (Recall, Hold, Transfer, etc)

    ICS2400 - slow dial tone

Try a reboot. Sounds like something might be locked up a reset should fix this. DO a backup first just in case!

    Global Navigator

Try running an agent Audit Report, I believe it will show all of the calls that the agents transfered in the new Version of the Nav 6.0 or 6.1.

    Directory on 2400IPx

You assign it in Key data (AKYD) flex Keys. Normally it gets assigned as an OAI key (Directory Dialer), you need Openworx for this. Or you can make it anything you want that is available in key data.

    D-channel link connection failure

I think that might be normal, I remember one time in the past I had similiar alarms with IP CCIS and ran it by NEC and they explained to me that IP CCIS is sort of like Event Based CCIS in that the link looks like it goes down when it is not needed and then comes back up when needed. I am going...

    MAT Listups

What version is the PBX? I have had similiar problems in the past if the Mat software did not match the PBX software. I am currently using R20.5 and have not had any listup issues with any PBX I have connected to! If I remember correctly R18 MAT software did have some listup problems!

Differences between NEC 2000 IVS and IVS2

Aviateur, Since you have an CP16 this is an IVS2 Retro (IVS to IVS2 Upgrade), thought you might want to know for sure what type of PBX you have. See the link CTVI posted for instructions on how to get past the pwd. This was the exact procedure I had in mind! Ozzie, I was a little offended at...

    NEAXMAIL AD-64

As for GRH959's response I do not think your phone can be forwarded to vmail to use caller ID scrolling. If you have an NEC AD-64 that is on your data network you can use View Call Plus to see caller ID. There are a few limitations though 1) Need to get caller ID from Telco 2) Calls need to be...

Differences between NEC 2000 IVS and IVS2

This could be a retrofit PBX (2000IVS cabinet with 2000IVS2 CPU).If you tell us what type of CPU you have we can figure ou what type of NEC 2000 it is.3 Digit LENS #'s are on the 2000IVS2 and 4 digit on the 2000IVS. If you need to recover a pwd on an IVS2 the system will need to come down once...

    2000ivs2 delay in dialing tone

Check commadn 85X (the X depends on the LCR setup, normally it is an 5). This is the command for max digits Ex 855> 2 = 07 Ex 855> 12 = 11 Ex 855> 911 = 03 So if you had 855> 2 = 10 then the PBX is waiting for 10 digits to be dialed, you would normally set this to an 07 for 7 digit local...

Redundant 2400ICS - which side is 0 and which is 1?

If the NEC 2400ICS was set up properly then CPU 0 should be on the bottom and CPU 1 should be on the Top. Nec likes to start from bottom to top and starts with a 0 then works its way up. Look at the display like gbaughma stated!

    CALLING NUMBER DISPLAY

I agree with Rotters, I looked and I do not see a way to stop sending the number, you can only turn off name display!

2400ICS - outgoing caller ID problem

This is a problem with your carrier. There are no settings on a 2400ICS T1 to send caller ID digits. The carrier needs to send the caller ID out on calls out of a NEC 2400 over a traditional T1. We can control digits over a ISDN PRI but not a traditional T1.

    ACD?'s

If you have Global Navigator there is an option in there to track Vacant Exts. This will track all calls made from an ACD Extension that is not curently logged in.
