I hope there is a solution to my dilema. I am using Crystal Reports 2008 Version 12.2.0.290 with SP2 installed. My data is coming from a Data Warehouse and we are using a third party front end for displaying the reports.
I have several reports that have a lot of selection criteria (20 or more...
Thank you for the suggestion. I had tried that, but was not getting the results I wanted. I finally figured out a way to do it though. What I did was go into field format. One the numeric tab I set the default value of zeroes to 0. Then I went to the common tab and wrote code under the Suppress...
I am using Crystal 2008 and my data is coming from a data warehouse. I have a situation where the users want to display a null value as a dash '-' and a zero value as a zero '0'. I have tried using the customize format, but can't mix the 2 formats on the same field. I tried creating a formula to...
Hello everyone,
Hope you are having a great day.
I am having trouble coming up with a solution to a request I have been given. I hope someone can help me out here.
I have been asked to produce a very large report (approximately 100 inches wide). However, the users don't want to see all of the...
Okay. I just moved it to the highest group level and it works, but it also shows the column headings from the 2nd group. Is there any way to not show them on the details drill down?
I have set up several Report Header sections where I display information about the report, give contact information and collect the parameters. Then I have put the sub reports in 3 different Report Footer sections. Each of the sub reports could be stand alone reports because they each connect to...
The main report collects 4 parameters: Beginning year, Ending year, County, and City. Then it passes these parameters to the sub reports. After retrieving the requested data the sub report portion of the report shows totals by accident year: total accidents, total fatal accidents, total injury...
I thought I followed your instructions, but perhaps I missed something. I have attached a word doc that explains the steps that I took and shows some screen shots of the different results. I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Bob

I saw a thread that addressed an issue similiar to this one, but I am not sure how to adapt it to my situation, since it was dealing with a command, so I am posting this question as a new thread.
I am using Crystal 2008 service pack 2.
Here is my situation. I have a main report that contains 3...
I tried this, but it didn't work. What happens when I do this is I get no records back at all. Any other suggestions would be very helpful.
Thank you,
Bob
I have the same issue. I have tried what you suggested, but the subreport gets the data as a string so when it tries to select records based on this string of values it finds nothing that matches. How do I change that string to a set of data to use in the selection wizard?
I saw a post regarding this, but did not understand the suggestion. I have a report that contains 3 different subreports. Each of them are getting data from the same source, just using different selection criteria. I need to let the user drill down into the details to get to the individual...
