New info today. The ring detector will beep the phone on Internal calls, but not when outside calls ring into it. It has done the same thing on a couple of phones they have tried it on and it's the only CS-55 in the office. :(
My customer called Plantronics. They say the headset is fine because 1: when you blow into the ring detector, it beeps the headset
2: when selecting the ring pattern on the phone, it beeps the headset.
The only time it doesn't beep the headset is when an actual call...
An MLX-20L on a Legend has a Plantronics CS-55 Wirless headset on it. When the phone rings, the headset ring detector does not signal the headset, however, when programming the ring pattern on the phone, it always signals the headset. We've tried all different ring patterns and volume levels on...
We haven't been able to detect it at the dmarc. To top it off, the station owner has one remaining old 10 button set still hooked up on the old 1A2 system in his office and that set is clear, no RFI. I haven't been back to confrim that. The salesman has been dealing with him now. I wish they'ld...
Thanks Dex. I downloaded his 8 page tech bulletin on RFI last night. Going to try and figure out the freq. ranges with the station owner and try some things from there.
Summer of 08, I installed a Partner ACS 509 R7 w/5 slot carrier in an am/fm radio station. There are also a couple of 308 ec's. We ran Shielded cat-5 cables, used shielded jacks and a shielded patch panel. Keep in mind this replaced an acient 1A2 key system that had horrible RFI.The system is...
A couple of years back I had issues with no caller ID on my home phone line. When I finaly got someone at Verizon to take my word that I was a key systems/pbx tech for over 20 years and I had tried multiple ID boxes with the same result, they finally sent out a tech. He was certain upon arrival...
I have a Legend system using ext 100 as the main operator station. The auto-attendant is used only as a backup if the receptionist doesn't answer after 4 or 5 rings. The system is in day mode all the time. If the AA answers and the caller dials 100, it just rings and rings 100. It won't go to...
Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. I added the extra sa and outbound only buttons and that seems to have cured our trouble. Another local tech who was helping me was kicking himself for not catching that too. Sometimes the obvious eludes us!
Thanks T-boy! That may very well be the case. The problem only happens during heavy traffic, so those int buttons are probably both tied up. All calls get answered by the AA and are then transferred to the phones. I wish I'd thought of that. We did add extra SA buttons to x10 (4424D+) but not to...
Yes, they do work quite differently on the Magix. User reaction has been mixed. Some adapt easier than others. I will do some more checking on the ETR capacity and try some testing. One ETR has no stations on it yet, so maybe I can pull it for now. Thanks for the tip!
I recently replaced a Partner with a Merlin Magix. It is a rel.4.0 The system has 1 TDL card and 4 16-ETR cards to run the old partner Phones. The 2nd cabinet has an LS/GS card and the Merlin messaging 6 port card. When the lines get busy, we have a problem where an answered call can't be...
Is there a way callers can easily replay the main greeting on a partnermail vs. r5? BTW, thanks touchtone tommy for your helpful answer on my calling groups question the other day. We did the loop around of an ext. to a co line port and it works like a charm!! U DA MAN!
