I have a Legend system using ext 100 as the main operator station. The auto-attendant is used only as a backup if the receptionist doesn't answer after 4 or 5 rings. The system is in day mode all the time. If the AA answers and the caller dials 100, it just rings and rings 100. It won't go to voice mail. If I put 100 into cover group 30 with all the others, then unanswered outside calls end up directly in ext 100's mailbox instead of getting the main greeting. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.(this system is also set up in hybrid/pbx mode)

I neglected to say that the VM/AA is an Intuity Audix system on the above post.

Assign the lines to an unused calling group, then overflow that group to Audix. Create a matching mailbox in Audix which will be the auto attendant. (Or renumber the calling group to your auto attendant extension number). Put 100 in the coverage group.

Lines not assigned elsewhere will follow the coverage path of the lowest Logical ID that has the lines assigned with ringing (log. ID 01, your operator)

Thanks Tommy. I'll be going back tomorrow (Thurs) to try this out. I'll let you know how I make out.
