okay I am at a loss, how can I dump this database so you can look through it if you still want to? Fortinet says they see UDP going through the switches.
okay I believe I found the beginning of the issue. Version 6.2.2 renamed the sip-helper to Sip-expectation and it is removed from the system settings when the update occurs. Do not ask me why this company would do something as annoying as this, but I will have to get into the routers and...
Yes, unless the netlink is not an old school netlink like I am use to from IT world then it is its own small VPN like tunnel. And now I see why issues are popping up. I have to see what changes are made in the version upgrades in the Fortinet. Their Third party IT people have updated all...
I know fortinet has a lot of SIP helpers and things running in the background. I have worked a lot on them to get them resolved with Tadiran Coral, Shoretel, NEC, and Yealink phones. I believe most of that is done again it is only through the VPN tunnels it seems to be having issues and only...
As the sites are linked via Netlink they are the same Database and I am not going to dump my whole database. The third party IT group claims up and down that the VPN is open and is not blocking anything, but they are Fortinet and I always have issues with those when running SIP or MGCP phones...
The digital phones had been able to talk to one another, Branch to Branch. It would seem one of the changes made changed this. Licensing is not the issue, all software is the same level and size. If it was still just the IP phones I would say it was certainly a Network issue.
Okay get this after the previous changes that were made and verified that we have all looked at and discussed. The customer just now informed me that digital to digital across the netlink connection are doing what the VoIP phones were doing. Calling one location will just hang up on you...
CoralTech I have done a Wireshark capture in the past and it showed me the pacts coming in to the IP gateway at the main location as they should be and even voice coming from the external IP phone, but nothing else. Showed me the SIP invite to the extension for the digital phone and assigned it...
Still no change in the system. Calls to one location will answer and then within a certain amount of time display, "Can't send RTP Packets". Calls to the other location still simply hangup once the call is answered. Thank you.
Oh I am not disagreeing with you, I love the open source, and the polycom phones did take a while to get up and running. The newer versions are working better and I would not recommend it for small companies in the least bit.
10-58
What would happen if the gateway is not 1 above the system...
Coral system is wonderful, Aeonix is really not that bad we handle both. Aeonix is certainly getting better and better and the clustering is fantastic, works great in large companies.
Honestly it is not that crazy. The IPflex is a digital signal that is converted into a PRI in the building via hardware. Normally a tech will come out and put up the hardware and then a remote technician will port the DID number along with main numbers and any other numbers to the new circuit...
I am going out on a whim here, but sounds like you are using Faxmaker software and they wanted you to upgrade. Are you using a phone system at all or is it only through that server?
CoralTech you said, "netlink switches" I am assuming you mean on 84-26 when you move between chassis? Those are set all to the same IP gateway. I will look at the peer-to-peer as I assumed those would only be for IP to IP phone calls and those have not been an issue. On a side not, do you work...
Okay same thing. One location rings through, once answered will just hang up on me the other yes no RTP traffic outside of IP phone to the phone system. I have been able to track it there, but once it hits the phone IP gateway nothing comes out back to the phone and I see nothing go to the...
With a call attempt the call connects with one site and then just no audio at all on the other site it will ring through and then hang up as soon as answered. They are all the same version.
10-58 has network settings in it, but looks like the previous installer only put in the external sites...
yes all systems have the main system as the gateway and just to make sure it was not the license I have enabled demo licensing system wide. Phone system is on 192.168.1.8 and the gateway is on 192.168.1.10. 84-26 system 1-3 is all set for 192.168.1.10 with the same port and all other IP...
I am at a loss, so hopefully someone with more knowledge on this system can point me in the right direction. I have a customer that is moving to IP phones to work remotely at the moment and while they can make calls and receive calls just fine, they are unable to make calls to the other offices...
