I also configured the remote Port in System -> VoIP and put it in Network Topology.
Same messages in System Monitor, phone still says acquiring service.

Finally got back to the site to switch phones to TLS, and I get essentially the same message in System Monitor. The only difference is it's trying to use the TLS port, 5061. I have no idea what's blocking this where.... These phones worked fine the first day or so I had them set up remotely...
Oh yeah, "Enable Remote Worker" is checked. They work, sometimes.
I'm a phone guy, not a network guy, so I'm struggling to catch up with the networking side of things. I'll give TLS a try.

Hey,
I've got a customer with some J169 phones that I've set up to work remotely on IP Office 11.0.4.2.0. I'm using port forwarding on the router using port 5160 external to 5060 internal (so it's not the standard port.) It will connect and work totally fine some of the time, but the other...
Well crap, I don't know what to think now. So here's the timeline of what happened. They upgraded from 8 to 11, and did not change any hardware. At that point, the T1 to the Mitel stopped working, and at that point, they began changing hardware to try to fix the issue. So, it may be a licensing...
Yeah, this customer is a little ways away, so I haven't been on site yet either. It's hard jumping into something and not knowing all the history.
You may be on to something that I haven't thought of yet. When comparing the old config pre-upgrade, and the current one, I do see that the serial...
We've got a new customer that has called us after they got tired of their Avaya recommended vendor in Texas. They recently upgraded from 8 to 11, and since then the T1 connection to a Mitel phone system at another building no longer works. I've checked the licensing, and the new licenses are...
Good gravy on a stick.... I finally got it. I started messing around with sending the call to another extension, still didn't work. Then I started playing around with line 3 (their fax line, that has no incoming calls at all), it worked just fine. I realized that Line 4 is on a separate 206e...
Okay, so I did not realize that there were to distinct ways of doing this, Line Ownership, and Call Cover. I had hoped that maybe because I was trying to do both, it wasn't working. I've gone through and programmed each method separately, and I still cannot get the mailbox at extension 20 to...
I will give that a try. I have messed with #208 and assigned L04 to Ext 20, but I'm pretty sure I've always had L04 set to either 1 (assign) or 3 (VMS Line Cover) in #206. I don't think I've tried it with it set to 2 (unassigned).
Thank you, that may just be the key. I'm going to feel so stupid...
Hey guys. I've searched this forum, user guides, installation manuals, and cannot seem to figure out this issue. I'm hoping to get some guidance from you here. I know TouchToneTommy seems to always have an answer, maybe you could give me some ideas. Here's the deal, I've got a customer who has...
They are reporting that it is working now. I haven't changed anything. It must have just been an issue with the phone provider upstream. Thanks a ton for you help!

TouchToneTommy that's the whole point. You can dial the 1218 number from any phone but extension 214.
amriddle01 I apologize for not collecting a working call trace from the same extension. I broke the troubleshooting laws... But sometimes that's what happens when dealing with a busy customer...
I've got an IP Office 5.0(26) with all IP phones, and a PRI. There is one phone that the end user reports cannot call one number. When they dial this number, they hear nothing, no ring, no answer, just silence. This number works on any other phone in the building. I am not using any type of...
It is, but I noticed there's a dedicated forum, but not with much activity.

OK, so NTS reminded me that older systems had a login of Administrator/password, but that still did not work. They confirmed that the AT_SECURITYRESETALL should have...
Would that be using security/securitypwd ? Still tells me access denied. the AT-SECURITYRESETALL through serial connection should reset security settings anyway.

Hey guys.
I've got an older IPO Basic - Partner Edition 6.0 (18). The customer called saying that it has been shutting off for a few minutes a few times a day. It is plugged into a UPS, and the Control Unit Audit shows some Cold Starts due to a power failure. Here's where it gets strange...
I figured out a work around that works for me.
I am routing the incoming calls to a huntgroup with just one analog extension that doesn't have a phone. This hunt group has announcements on, and a short overflow time which sends the call to the main huntgroup. This way the call gets answered...
